Could we get a yes/no, are you even considering it, do you even know about it?
Just to recap for anyone that doesn't know. Jumping through a gate clears your agression timers, so you could be in a full out fight on one side, jump through the gate and log off, and your ship in completely gone from game in 1 min, even if you get caught and scrammed. On top of that, even if you logged back in it will put your ship 1 million K out like you had done an emergency warp, so you really don;t even have to do the multiple log on/off trick to.
Of course the other way that all freighter pilots use (and a lot of BS's) is to log off your space whale as soon as you see you've jumped into a camp. 9 times out of 10 you'll be fine, unless they had the DPS to kill your ship in about 30 seconds.
So, simple fix? Make the interdictor bubble fix apply to all warp scrambling mods, i.e. if someone catches you your ship is stuck, no warping out. Of course all warp core stabs could apply and if 1 point was on you you could warp out (if so equiped). But come on, its general knowledge that you can basically fly through any low sec, un-scouted, in a freighter, and be completely fine, all you have to do is log off. ------ // This is by design. When a ship jumps through a gate, it clears all aggression. // - BH ******** Pew on gate, if it gets hot, jump through and Ctrl-Q. Game mechanic endorsed by CCP. |

... Since when does jumping through a gate clear your aggro timer?
The only thing that needs to be done to fix logoffski is to make it so you can get the 15 minute pvp aggro timer on you even when logged off, i.e. in your 1 minute e-warp period.

2 minutes after logofski before the ship vanish into thin air.
Wanna fix it? set the 2 minute timer on 15 and weŚre all happy!

Timer is 1 min, combined with the few seconds of lag between the log-off and the de-cloak and the ship is gone in around 45 seconds. However, giving the person a 15 min timer and making them stay if they happened to get agressed in that time would be fine. I suggested the dictor fix applied to all warp scrambling mods since that mechanic is already in game and shouldn't take much to implement. ------ // This is by design. How do you differentiate between a dc and player cutting the line, until you can do that you can't do squat without penalising innocent players.

Bull, if you're that unlucky to lose connect when jumping into a camp then you've lost your ship. Just as surely as you'd lose your ship when scrambled in a lvl 4 mission. Thats Eve. Any other time it wouldn't even be an issue, unless someone was around to warp scramble you before your ship warped, in which case you're caught just as you should be. ------ // This is by design. then i sure as hell hope that if i ever get dc'd while scramed on a lvl 4 mission (i get dc'd several times a day cause new zealand internet is crap and my router doesnt like me) that ccp will replace my ship and any modules i lose otherwise they can look forward to me *****ing about it on the forums and in game as i shouldnt have to miss out because other players have decided to exploit the system.
additionaly, the servers should be able to tell the difference between someone closing the client and someone getting dc'd because thier internet is being a ***** just as the client can tell the difference |

"logging off with cloak" should be an easy premise to code...? gate-cloak included aka Roemy Schneider (probably lacking game time again) |

I accept I'am screwed if I come upon a camp.
Its very annoying not all are so forthcoming to.
Aggro on jumping system: Imagine you manage to get a shot or two of on an enemy but he slips away, he dosent agress you back. He then jumps into another system and logoffskis. The timer isnt there, had he logged in same system he would had time, but without aggressing back jumping to another system clears the 'I got shot at' timer=Meh.
I'd be happy with DC/logoffski giving a 5 minute timer if your in space. Logging/DC in space shouldnt be safe unless inside pos shields.

People loose ships unfairly hunnerds of time per day. D/C in mission was mentioned. When you warp into a fleet fight. You see yourself on grid and nothing else while the hostiles are happily killing/podding/looting. Jumping into a fleet fight, you see system you jumped from for 5 minutes while your ship is emergency warping inside a L bubble II.
Not to mention the poor prope who now get penalized when their credit card dont check out and thers a few days until money comes back into the account and they loose that time because some people will use non-paid for accounts to train carrier 5.

Solution:
If you log off after 1 minute of sitting in space uncloaked, doing nothing and having no aggression timer, your ship vanishes instantly. For the user interface, add a logoff button, which pops up a 1 minute countdown and logs you off automatically when it's over. Any action which would reset the timer cancels the logoff operation and makes the timer disappear.
Any other way of logging off will leave your ship in place for 15 minutes with no emergency warp.
Don't whine about disconnects. Just fix your internets. Any feature implemented to protect players after a connection loss can be exploited by simply pulling your network cable (and people do that in other games where there is no "software logoffski exploit")
