My question is simple how do you gate camp in low sec?
0.0 is "simple but i don't get the low sec gate camping. If i have a gang of bs's (and tacklers?) and i shoot down 1 or 2 targets (sentries start firing at us) then what. Do we tank the sentries just all day long or? And what bout smaller ships? What kinds of setups do you use?

It depends on the ship setups that you use. During our all BS gangs, we all have remote reppers (due to me being the only nubbin running buffer tank ). No more enemies, and we sit a few thousand KM from the gate to wait aggression.
If something big jumps in, we warp (we're all aligned) to the gate and kill it.
We're experimenting with running a logistics, and its doable, but dual logistics is a hell of alot better (2x guardians).
Just running 2 battleships, a battlecruiser, and an Omen, all with remote reps, we are able to keep the omen alive under sentry aggro.

The most effective method is probably the off-grid safespot (~1000km off), with a scout on the hi-sec side of the gate. When a worthwhile target jumps you warp in, kill/ransom, scoop loot & pop wreck, warp back to safe.
Being off the gate serves two purposes. First, you don't have to perma-tank gate guns. Second, alt scouts won't see you (they never bother to run their scanners), and will give the ok for the juicy target will jump in.
It's a very profitable pasttime. But popping helpless targets gets real old, real quick.

It all depends really, if you have a large enough gang the sentries cycle before you really need to be concerned about them making sentry guns largely irrelevant say 6 or 8 people. having scouts around to let you know if trouble is coming is a great benefit as well. However gate camping ranks #2 as the most boring things to do in eve #1 being hauling and #3 being mining.

Why, I must say... I think this man has lost his marbles.
Everyone knows the only way to gatecamp lowsec is with at least two disco battleships and a gang to remote rep them. How else can you catch those warp-to-zero shuttle alts ------------

While we are talking about sentry guns, is it possible to kill 'em?

No.
Oh and another way to camp would be the Burn Eden way... (ok, so they do it in 0.0, but you can do it in lowsec if you don't mind sacrificing the tackler.)
Out of corp alts/tacklers sit at the gate and look like a weak camp, they tackle the target, falcons and damp-cruise-ravens decloak over 150k out and a rapier webs you down... ugh the pain ------------
