Sick of having to buy the new 60-day GTC's for more than what the 90-days used to be? Join the "FAIRTRADE GTC UNION" mailing list and get in contact with sellers who can supply you with GTC's for under 500m. Sellers, join to sell fast and constantly . *********************************************

Why would sellers join this when they can "constantly" sell 60 day codes for 450-500 mil in the regular GTC bazaar? If you don't like the prices don't pay them. If enough people do that the price will come down.
Sellers,,,, don't join this, stay in the Bazaar and let's keep our codes at 500 mil!!! We must work together to keep GTC prices high! Hell lets shoot for higher! WTS 60day GTC 550m!

Very good idea. Would be nice to see the GTC prices at reasonable prices.

So why exactly would sellers 'join' this thing?

What exactly would be the incentive for someone who sells GTCs to sell them for less than they go for here?
It's not like it's hard to sell one and taking extra steps just to make less ISK seems somewhat counterproductive.

Define reasonable. I argue 500mil is reasonable, as it is the average price sellers are willing to sell at and buyers are willing to buy at. This small niche is a microcosm of a perfectly free trade economy. Nobody needs to buy this product [with isk]. The sale of these is entirely based on demand, and the price will remain stable based on the in-game economy.
The production of these GTCs is not limited by any kind of outside factor; it's essentially a limitless resource, and if you want a GTC for less, set up a "WTB" order. It may not be filled immediately, but there are some GTC sellers who are impatient and need their isk "now," and will gladly snatch up any WTB order they see.
So I'd like to ask the OP: What makes you think GTCs are too expensive? What is your metric for this claim? Have you tried putting in the extra effort to get a discount GTC, or are you simply glancing at all the WTS orders? Have you tried haggling?

Try joining this instead that will sort out your "overpriced" GTC problem.
And touting "fair trade" is lame to, its great when its applied to poverty stricken people being exploited but it doesn't really apply to people who want something for nothing.

Erm. So, why's a seller going to undercut the market rate exactly? -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? |

+1 for making me laugh.
As for the OP, this organization will fail simply because it will be a group full of buyers with few or no sellers. It just doesn't make sense for a seller to join an organization where they will sell their GTCs for far less than what they would get on the open market.

This list is full of failsauce.
I had a devious idea that I would sell the timecodes that I buy for dollas for a huge price in the GTC bizarre and then buy some off this list to use on my accounts. And keep the difference.
But the price on the list is about the same as the price in the GTC bizarre.

Well, theoretically, people would join in an effort to drive prices down and as a consequence would be willing to be more flexible about when to buy their gtc's; that is, wait longer to compensate for the lower number of sellers. If enough people do this, it will make it take longer for gtc's sold in the timecode bazaar to sell due to lower demand, which would provide incentive for more sellers to cooperate with the price fixing.
Of course this would only work if a large enough percentage of buyers was willing to wait a long time to get a new gtc.
