I just wanted to give you all some updates on my situation of being stuck in Caldari Space, specifically the system of Hatakani. My ship will be out of the repair shop tomorrow, and I have, for one reason or another, decided to stay for a little while longer.
I met a rather nice Achur female, who offered to let me stay at her apartment until my ship was repaired. We're quite similar in personality - she's somewhat introverted, like me. She dislikes being around a lot of people, and she said she might like to go with me when I return to my nomadic lifestyle aboard a Badger Mk II. I have a picture of her - her name is Ava Orimaku, the first Caldari I've met with a name I could pronounce. Also, she isn't the stereotypical Achur, and she speaks Gallentean.
Another reason I might stay in Caldari Space for a while, is because there's some Pyeroxeres in this system. I might head back into an area where I won't get my ass blown off, though.

If she's offworld, Mr. Brykein, she's definitely not the stereotypical Achur. Nor typical, come to that.

Edited by: Morgan Brykein on 18/10/2008 00:39:49 Yeah...haven't really talked to many Achur while I was here on this station. Really, I haven't talked to that many people at all. Sorry if that statement sounded even the smallest bit, I dunno...racist-ish in it's basis.

Let's see, she speaks Gallentean and has allowed you to stay at her apartment? Yes, I'm quite agreed with Ms. Jenneth, with the added caveat that you may want to watch your back in case.

Yeah, I have the fact in mind that there's a potential of her killing me, but...she seems nice enough. She's just a few years older than me, and she doesn't seem like the type that's wholeheartedly devoted to the State.

Aye, I am sure this girl is a trustworthy type. I have an Intaki friend who has found himself, not unlike yourself, doing alot of trade in Caldari space, he has told me tales of many unexpected friendships with those that should theoretically be his enemy. Indeed I have a few Caldari friends in my current corporation, we can sit and talk for hours, although, yes, occasionally the language barrier is a major hinderance we are gradually over coming it.
I believe the Caldari to be good people deep down, and it sometimes makes me sad that they are an enemy, guess they're just led by some "bad eggs", ah well politics is politics I suppose. Dont want to turn this into a political debate, that would just depress me...
Either way she looks like a cutey, be sure to stay in contact with that one nudge-nudge, wink-wink! Hahaha!
I wish your vessel a speedy recovery, and I hope you fly safe my friend, just remember that you can never be too careful when in foriegn space.

Yay, my ship's out of the repair shop!
As I said though, I might stay here for just a little bit longer.

Lots of people in New Eden seem 'nice enough'... until they slip a blade between your ribs in your sleep that is. Especially pretty Achur spacer girls who speak fluent Gallentean.
As pilots Jenneth and Sakoda have said before before me: Watch yourself, Mr. Brykein. The galaxy already has more than it's fair share of nieve young pilots being taken advantage of.

I, having spend much of my life around Achur women, have to suggest that she is much less typical than she appears. Although, for someone who comes from another world the mistake is entirely understandable. Particularly when she lives in the context of an outside community where the vast majority of people learn of the Achur through wildly inaccurate holovids.

Edited by: Boma Airaken on 22/10/2008 00:58:33 Speaks Gallentean? Likes the idea of a nomadic lifestyle? Sounds like a Baatsu as opposed to a Saisio-born. I predict interesting times in your future. Just make sure you treat her right. Us Baatsu can be a pain in the ass. And if she is Baatsu, take a tip from the pro's and don't call her Caldari. Will help avoid that knife that was mentioned earlier. |

... which is ironic, since one thing all the Caldari State's bloodlines hold in common is a certain cultural spikiness.
Boma is, however, quite right.
