I was playing with my premium settings and I ran across this after applying bloom to extreme and shadows to high:
Raven in station 1 Beautiful Raven in station 2 Beautiful Outside station Nighthawk - cool
Now what we're looking at here is a wide full screen glow for one, plus your normal HDR reflections and heat... then we have something neat happening - you get a motion blur for one thing which you cant see in the screenshots AND you get the camera lense light bleed effect... which is alot sharper than the normal one which looks excellent!!
I was NOT able to recreate this or make it happen again. I logged out and back in to check and it went back to the normal HDR/Glows even at extreme. It was ehhh. But if this is a glitch, COOL.. MAKE IT A FEATURE! If not... maybe an artifact of DX10? I am running Vista 64bit

No offense, but your 8800GT card only supports DX10.0
DirectX10.1 is currently only supported by AMD ATI. :)
Not that it matters for Eve. Eve Online uses DX9. |

I think the intention was to say that a DirectX 10.1 package is installed on the Vista system - specified only because it might be a glitch unique to that DirectX package.
I certainly haven't ever seen anything like that under XP, with DirectX 9.0c...

I have also seen this happen. I was switching between Bloom low to high or something, and I got that. Once I switched it again, it was gone. |

Maybe I'm just getting old, but that fuzziness only serves to remind me how bad my vision is getting (unless it is a crisp picture and my eyes are even worse than I thought ). Next stop, reading glasses. |

Just wait 'til you have a detached retina - then everything becomes rather funky! :/
OP: Those look horrible... definitely a graphics glitch. I have HDR on, 8xAA forced in driver and Shadows on high and Eve looks great.

Most people I know aren't fans of bloom lighting. Cool pics regardless. |
