I'm glad that they fixed the NPC Nocxium price fixing. But I would have preferred they fix that fact that a book refines into Nocxium instead of just removing it. |

Base price doesn't mean anything.
You're going to be looking at these very soon:
1.200 1.700 nocx (see post below) 2.800 zydrine 4.000 megacyte 30.000 morphite
I've not looked at the other minerals Large volumes of highly researched Ammo, drones, charges and ship bpo's. Biggest BPO store in EVE! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=445524#post445524 |

This is not actually unreasonable.
Nocxium is sourced from lowsec and 0.0 ores only. The two 0.0 ores - ochre and crokite - are traditionally the least valuable and so are ignored in favor of Arkonor and Bistot, and the lowsec ores are just plain ignored because the risk:reward isn't there. Even at 900/unit nocxium, they're barely worth more than highsec ores, and worth far less than missions or incursions.
If, on the other hand, you kick the price up to 1200/unit, those lowsec ores are up in the 30m/hr range - 30m for hedbergite, 31 for hemorphite, 27 for jaspet. 1500/unit is better still - hedbergite is worth about 35m/hr, hemorphite 38m/hr, and jaspet 33m/hr. Additionally, Crokite exceeds Arkonor and Bistot at this point, meaning it gets mined first in 0.0.
At a whopping 1700/unit, the lowsec nocx ores are equivalent to 0.0 ores - 39m for hedbergite, 42m for hemorphite, 40m for Jaspet.
So, dare I say it - sky's the limit, and Lowsec ho? |

It would if all shiptypes would be used equal and if CCP would not have introduced capital ships and mods. But even if they would do that, folk would still prefer ABC over Dark Ochre. I'm a seasoned miner you know. Inferno - your wallet will burn! |

Yes its definitly not worth it for the people that bought 5-20bisk of the stuff at 500isk per unit and will be able to sell it for 800-1.3k per unit.....
I mean thats only like what? Double the profit.. hardly worth it at all! |

Riley Moore wrote:Hardly worth the time just for nocx For just Nocx, no, but combined with the current trit prices, it certainly becomes interesting. You should be able to squeeze out ~200 ISK/m-¦ at current Jita prices. That's still 1.6M for a full (non-expanded) Hulk, and you can fill those up a fair amount of times in an hourGǪ
gfldex wrote:It would if all shiptypes would be used equal and if CCP would not have introduced capital ships and mods. Like I said, general GÇö the actual demand is a bit different, and that's what gives us the fun part in figuring out the elasticity in pricing between different minerals. At 1200/unit its about 19m/hr, 24m/hr at 1700/unit, given the same setup I made my other estimates with. Highly lucrative to a highsec miner, and the safety of it means it may depress my top end somewhat, but the low volume works against that. |

So what I'm getting out of this is that I should spike the **** out of my prices on T1 mods containing mass Nocx.

Pyrox went from being the darling of the hi-sec ores at around 175-180 ISK/m3 and is now 195 ISK/m3 (as Nocx went from 535 to 766).
http://eve.grismar.net/ore/
Assuming:
Trit 5.50 Pye 6.50 Mex 55.00 Iso 95 Nocx 850 Zyd 1800 Mega 4200 Morph 9600
Then you get ore ISK/m3 values of:
Veld 165 Scor 146 Pyrox 210 Plag 161 Omb 106 Kern 170 Jasp 266 Hemo 288 Hed 283 Gneiss 175 DarkO 273 Spod 148 Croc 370 Bist 415 Ark 531 Mercx 509
Looking at that from the supply side, it makes Pyrox too valuable in comparison to the other hi-sec ores, which will mean that within 2-4 weeks miners will flock to Pyrox space and mine less of the other hi-sec ores. Which should depress Nocx prices back down below 850 (probably 700 long-term). Or the other ores will get more expensive as fewer people mine them.
But there's still another shoe left to hit the floor, and that is the removal of drone poo on Apr 24. Something like 30-50% of all Nocx comes from reprocessing, not mining. So there's another price shock coming in about a month. |
