The biggest ffs-factor I have in the game now is the delay in changing ships. It's really annoying being told you have to wait 2 secs or whatever. Would it be possible to change the system so that instead of simply rejecting the move, it goes onto a countdown with an abort similar to the undocking system?
That way I wouldnt have to be counting down from 30 in my head and then swearing when I'm slightly too quick :)

There's a session change timer in the top right corner of the screen, a small rotating cycle. Hovering over it will showw the time left.
The session change timer is necessary to avoid issues during session changes usually resulting with players getting stuck in between sessions and requiring GM assistance to get out.
Worst thing that could happen between session changes is getting eaten by Langoliers. You don't want that to happen, now do you?

iirc you have to turn it on first, which is somewhere hidden in the options. Esc->general settings, somewhere there :) ----------------------------------------------

Well, I guess that'll save me having to do a countdown. I wasn't actually suggesting getting rid of the wait though, just allow you to queue the move ship command until the server is happy to move you in it's own time.
Not the biggest problem in the world though, I guess. :)

I had it turned on for a month never figuring out where on my screen it was, probably still wouldn't know if someone from my gang hadn't told me. ç¦ |
