Earlier tonight, there were 37000+ people on the server, around the norm for a sunday evening. Did any of those ghost training whingers actually quit?

Yes, me and my 27000 alts wasnt online today. If we'd been on eve would have broken its record again, but I alone made sure that didnt happen. Take THAT CCP! Thats for demanding that i actually pay to skilltrain!

I don't think you can entirely blame the carebears, a lot of ghost trainers were standard 0.0 minmaxers who just wanted cheap capship pilots __________

the emo rage quitter dont actually quit hence the emo part
they try to push CCP into changing the game to there way instead of the general populus way and threten to do so by threating to quit like some emo kids cut themselves for attention ( a poor comparrison i know )
you have a lot to learn about these forums
and plus yes it is sunday and most people this is the only chance to play during the week so there is always a hike in number on a sunday to the rest of the week.

I havent noticed any drop in player numbers so i doubt many people quit at all to be honest.
And personally i think 'most' of the whiners were what someone above said 0.0 min/maxers. I mean really how many casual carebears have multiple accounts?

i just have the one alt which is for mining, i know of people speaking of no names but lookin the drone regions with 8 mining alts taking out merxcoit roids
but even then the most recent nerfc for nano and such dont even really effect the carebear population
but ghost training does but that is another topic ( im trying to be a good forum player tonight poasting constructive poasts )

The fallout from the majority of players that decided to actually terminate their accounts won't been seen in any tangible numbers for a few weeks as their existing subscriptions expire.
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' |

lol, I don't know. There was/is a lot of non-constructive remarks made against the speed changes (aka Nano Nerf).
I blame most of the ghost training whines on cheapskates and people training alts for capital ships.

You have the wrong idea OP. People who are paying at this exact moment aren't going to quit because of this change. People who quit for unrelated reasons aren't going to come back because of the changes. That along with the recent GTC changes are going to be really discouraging to people who wish to resubscribe or use alts.
It probebly won't kill eve or send it into decline, but over a prolonged period of time, Months/Years, it's probebly going to cost CCP a substantial amount of cash from returning casual players and alts who would. Hence, it's a really stupid move that won't show itself right away.
P.S. I don't think it will kill EVE any time soon since the Hardcore players will still use their mains while the casuals will come and go. I just think it's going to discourage a huge chunk of cash flow over the long term. _______________

because if I had resigned myself to quit in two months and go play something else, I'd just quit now and go play something else for two months. No sense bothering with your character if you're just going to leave it for good
Of course, he's probably quitting over the nanonerf and not the ghosting nerf and just wants to spend his last few weeks pewpewing at eleventythousand km/s _____________________

Pretty much exactly on point. It is not a a short term "emo-rage-I-quit" crowd that will be the indicator. It is the older players who had "occasional" training alts, and the casual gamers who will be dropping out.
If I would use myself as an example: I have 2 accounts, one of the accounts would lapse for about a month or so, while still keeping one account active. At this point, I will just transfer my ALT to one main account, and will let the other account lapse and will not re-subscribe, since there is no point at the moment. Thus CCP has lost about 9 Months worth of subscriptions, taking into an consideration occasional lapse on either of the accounts.
So, instead of getting 12 months + 9 months from me on two accounts, they get 12 months from me on just one account, that about it.

Lawl...If you decide you wanna quit, then its
A. Because you dont have the money to keep playing the game, in wich case you'd ofc be playing to your account ran out.
or B. Because you've gotten tired of the game for one reason or the other. If thats the case why torture yourself with a game you find boring and want to quit, just because you've payed for the time?
