As I am sure everybody does once in a while, i took a year and a half break from Eve to complete some fairly large projects from my work... and now that they are released to the public and the world knows about them my life can get back on track and i can start playing games again instead of designing computers that can run them
Sooo what have i missed or should be looking forward to?
Just looking for some ideas on what to do when i get back or should i just dive into business again doing the same old same old??
Ideas or words of advice anyone?!?

Don't train for Falcons. Check Sisi for Speed/Missile changes. Welcome Back Ghost Training Disabled.

Depends on how long you were gone.
In the last year we got the Trinity Graphics Update for all Ship and Station Models, still the Update is not complete and Backgrounds, Planets and Effects could also use an update, but there is nothing specific from CCP yet.
We also have Factional Warfare in Empire Lowsec, but others can give you probably more info on this.
An Ambulation, or Walking in Station Demo will be shown during Fanfest, but the whole project is still far from being completed.
Forum Whining is completely out of control at the moment.
If you are a Nanopilot, prepare to be hit into the groin by the Nerfbat.
Also the Midas Industrial Expansion is scheduled for the end of the year which will bring a new industrial capital ship, but there is also not much info on specific changes yet.

I'll bet you 100M by the time you train for one they'll be nerfed to 1337 feet below ground level. Speed changes make falcons that much more effective, and considering they're the most effective way to suppress a large amount of gang DPS with one pilot NOW...
After a massive proliferation of falcon pilots expect a nerf stick beatdown. After all, it's in CCPs financial interests to get you to pay for training something else instead.

Many people assume they will be nerfed, note: I am not one of those people
The falcon is an amazing ship right now, but its only useful when adequately supported (which IMHO is the epitomy of a role specific ship).
Lots will change with the speed nerf, hard to say right now, though ECM drones are very FOTM --
