Okay. Say you're shooting at someone (with consent). For example, several people are attacking one ship to test that ships tank. This was all done with premission.
Then, someone in a logsitics ship comes and starts to remote rep the ship under attack, just to try to annoy everyone trying to kill it. When fired on, he claims he didn't consent to combat.
Basically, in BF1 land, does RRing a ship count as consenting to any engagement the ship is involved it? --------- Your bad loan management perfectly strikes the stock market, wrecking for -777.68 points. Eve job list |

This is a good question.
in my mind repping a ship that is engaged in pvp is in itself consenting to pvp.
maybe ask a gm when the server is back up.

I thought so as well but seeing as Sisi runs like crap for me I figured I could maybe get something in here.
I have visions of people bringing friends in guardians to 1v1's and when the guardians get shot at the pilots whine "I never consented to PvP!" --------- Your bad loan management perfectly strikes the stock market, wrecking for -777.68 points. Eve job list |

On tranquility, Repping someone in the middle of a war flags you to the enemy war targets, so yes I'd say it's consenting to pvp.

Anyone who enters a PvP engagment at any, and starts giving aid to either side of the PvP engagment, should then consider themselves as a participant and target in that PvP engagment. It's common sense. Something that seems to be dissapearing at a rapid rate.

I believe interfering with a person testing something in singularity is against the rules not sure though so I wouldn't recomend it. If you are indeed talking about SiSi ------ FIX THE BLOODY OVERVIEW ALREADY! SPEED NERF! RUN FOR THE HILLS! |

The BF's are for consentual combat generally, and whilst I can understand the flippant nature of the logistic ships reply, I would have to say that since it's in an arena where consent is the key word, he was breaking the rules.
Sure they would argue 'it's not combat' but that's taking a fine line, and I'm reasonably sure that the offender knows that.
Next time it happens, and there are GM's, Devs or BH's on, contact one of them, and explain the situation

BF1 - 3 are for consentual combat only, that means that ANY action there has to be being agreed on by the parties involved. So the guy in the logistics ship broke the rules by coming there and interfering with your agreed on test.
Not much more to it. Remember that next time you warp to a BFx area for some 1v1 or what ever and someone comes along to spoil your party.
As an interesting side note: Locking ppl currently at combat with each other on a BF area is a bit of a grey area imo, you just want to see their shield/armor/hull but are you actually interfering with the action just by locking ? :)
EDIT: Atropos was faster... :D

You could always just use a passive targetter if you just want to see how people's ships are doing. At least that way you don't trigger auto-target back. --- DIY copying in Liekuri 20:1 mineral compression Eve Online folding@home team |
