Is anyone ever planning to work on a better asset management system?
I can live 5 million items in each station if I want to find them in my assets tab OR I can organize them in containers and lose them forever.
It would be nice to be organised and able to search using the assets tab. |

Actually, they are working as intended. Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle says that dPdX <= h, or rather that the uncertainty in momentum of a particle (light is photons, photons are particles) times the uncertainty in position of the particle must be less than or equal to planck's constant - which means that the more you know about its velocity, the less you know about its position. The principle can be restated as dEdt <= h, with energy and time between pulses substituted for momentum and position. In addition to, possibly changing the CEO corp size skills to more realistic (and meaningful levels) so that if the above is enacted you don't just end up with mega sized corps as a work-around?
Or, alternatively placing some sort of monthly adder to the alliance bill (perhaps XX amount per corp, per member, per standing set, etc) to make corps/alliances think about who they set standings with.

A tempest with a max skills character, 6x 800mm II's loaded with EMP L, 5x hammerhead II's and 1x gyro II deals 646 dps. This is with a 3km optimal and 20km falloff and the tank you are able to fit after putting this on will be very weak.
An arma with a max skills character, 7x mega pulse II's with multifreq L, 5x ogre II's and 1x heat sink II deals 870 dps. This is with a 15km optimal, 10km falloff and a mean tank.
Care to comment on this? Is the tempest really supposed to be so weak both in tank AND dps?
Also please don't try to say the tempest is more versatile, if you try to squeeze any kind of dps out of it you run out of pg to fit anything else.

While "answering" does not equate "answering honestly", I'll still ask:
Q1: will CCP reconsider all the recently announced and implemented nerfs if 25% of the subscribers leave?
Q2: what will Minmatar ships be good at after the dust has settled i.e. speed nerf etc.?
Q3: what kind of content is left for people who have been in capital ships / alliance warfare for years? what are your plans to add new ways to play the game for them? Only Ambulation and /dance ?
Q4: will the EVE universe be changed / made larger and why? (technical reasons?)
Q5: As a 2003 player, I know that "surprise fittings" are no longer viable since 2006 or so, when most forms of EW were nerfed to uselessness except on specialized ships (exception: ECM drones, which are far too powerful). Nowdays, most ships have one single useful fitting with very little room for out-of-the-box thinking except comedy setups. Are there any plans to bring back some variety in useful ship fittings?

1) Is there any chance we could get divisions in our own personal hangers? This would definately cut down on the need for single person alt corps.
2) Also, is there anyway to impliment an "Access List" so that I can move stuff into and out of the hangers belonging to another character?

Remove local = Let's all fly force recons, we can go anywhere undetected unless someone is dedicated to sitting on the gate or mashing the ship scanner at just the right moment, and no one can scan us out or tell if we're even still in the system.

Zulupark, first thanks for this. If there's any chance of making sessions like this a more regular feature, you'd make a lot of folks happy, it's nice to interact with the devs and get some hints about what's coming down the road.
As for my question; I'm a leadership-focused pilot specialized in BC hulls, and I consider flying BC hulls without a gang link to be criminal. Unfortunately, when my gangs engage in black ops harassment of our targets, using covert cynos and the like to drop out on people and attack them without prior warning, my roughly 6m sp in leadership feel wasted as I'm relegated to a crusier hull and giving the base bonuses+whatever mindlink I have in at the time. Has there been any thought put to a black ops BC hull now that there are frigate, cruiser, and battleship BO capable hulls? Ideally they could be capable of running 3 gang links, but honestly I'd happily settle for 1. Would also be a fantastic excuse for a t2 Hurricane, Myrmidon, Drake and Harbinger, some of the sexier ship hulls out there.
Also, bless you for reviewing the way covert cynos work in cynojammed systems. |

Ill try to keep it a question - and will keep the solutioning down to a minimum.
Regarding Allinace/Corp Sov. At present the unchecked expanion of Sov by any corp does not reflect the exponential growth of beaurocacy that is required to govern expaning organizations/states. Will CCP be looking at placing some limiting factors (corp/allinace size, skills, all of the above, ...?) to the gobbling of systems via Sov. Forcing some costs to own and "manage" a system will force the owners to only take what they can support, allowing more diversity in 0.0 and ulitmatley more cooperation (and warfare) amongst the more numerous smaller players. The existing model is forcing a degree of stagnation as more and more space is gobbled up. In fact the "law of deminishing returns" seems to be a mantra for CCP, it should be applied to system sov as well.

Did the balance team identify an issue with blasters today, if so have they defined it and are any proposals floating around, if not what were they doing all day?
How much longer can we expect testing on SiSi to continue before it is considered ready for release?

Hello Zulupark, There was much discussion in the blaster thread (page 18) about the tracking formula. Basically as it stands at the moment, there is a flaw in that there is no accounting for effective target size vs. distance, i.e. the closer a target gets, the larger it gets, therefore easier to hit (instead we get the æ0mÆ bug).
There was a proposed modification to sig radius based upon falloff and I just wondered if you guys are looking at the tracking formula at all at the same time as the missile formula?

1) Why are you making such massive overkill gameplay changes to deal with a few problem speed setups. Things are pretty much balanced right now on TQ, with the exception of the top-end nano setups. Nerf polycarbons, snakes, and fix precision heavy missile velocity and the problem is over. So why keep pushing this long list of massively unpopular changes?
2) Why do you feel that a single AB/MWD should be a tank mod? Your missile damage formula has the explosion velocity set so low that even the AB/MWD that every single ship fits for mobility/range control reasons also now gives damage reduction, meanwhile the missile ship has very little ability to change this (the overwhelming majority fight out of web range). Why don't you either set the explosion velocity so that a same-size target with only a MWD/AB (and no other speed tank modules) gets ZERO damage reduction, or boost missile base damage so that they keep their TQ damage against a MWD/AB-only same-size target?
3) What do you plan to do about lowsec? Currently lowsec is dead, with the exception of large FW gangs that are instant death to any solo/small-gang pilot foolish enough to engage. The risk/reward balance is completely broken, there's essentially nothing mining/industry/mission/ratting-related in lowsec worth risking your ship to get. As a result, pirates have almost nothing to pirate, and gatecamps are the only way to get a fight. What do you plan to do to attract more potential targets for solo/small-gang roaming piracy?
4) Where is the Nighthawk's extra grid? Currently with a MWD and gang mod (both mandatory modules for PvP), even a heavy missile setup is short about 300 grid (more, if you want an active tank to be possible), and therefore ends up barely better than the Drake. HAM setups are virtually impossible to fit. Now compare this to the other command ships (the Sleipnir can fit the largest guns, gang mod, MWD, and an injected X-large tank) and the problem becomes obvious. So when can we expect to see this grid increase that almost everyone agrees is necessary? Oh, while we're on the subject, can we have a 7th launcher slot so that we do more than a tiny bit of extra damage over the Drake?
5) Why do you consider fleet command ships "non-combat" and encourage them to sit AFK with 8x gang mods? See this post for more detail. Why don't you do something like this, and make a useful combat ship for those of us who like rails/drones/Khanid, instead of denying us a real T2 BC option?
6) Where is the missing assault frigate 4th bonus? This change has had essentially unanimous agreement for years, but nothing has been done. Why not?
7) Why do you feel that the "tier" system is still useful? See this post for more detail. Why not scrap the obsolete concept and remove its restrictions on balancing?
8) Stealth bombers: where is the covops cloak? With the exception of a very few people who find them "fun", bombers have a long list of issues seen here. What do you plan to do to finally make them a true stealth ship?
9) The Widow: why the split personality problem? See here. The Widow tries to be both an ECM ship and a torp gank ship, and fails horribly at both. Why not pick one and focus the ship on that single role? Or better, why not make it a T2 Rokh like it should have been in the first place (have to remove the tier system, but it needs to go anyway)?

ok i have a couple questions for ya buddy.
1: Falcons and ECm drones are still crazy over powerd. When a falcon can jam a bs that has 3 eccm mods on it and the falcon is only using 2 racials on that ship...you know its over powerd. ECM drones them self jam you every 45 seconds. IS there anything we can expect a nerf to these mods? perhaps maybe only being able to use 1 racial at a time? ECM Drone nerf?
2. Who the hell came up with the orca and where can i buy him a beer this year?
3. Whats this i hear about T3?
4. and last but not least... any idea when t1 destroyers may see a boost to make them more effective in pvp?

I've stuck with minmatar in all the time i've played and have a few questions which have yet been answered satisfacory!
They are:
When are projectiles gonna get sorted? Mainly the Arties!!
(i.e. We fight in falloff, have to worst tracking, worst DPS! Even the Alpha is just laughable now! Massive tracking penalties on Tremor.)
The Phoon - Slot layout dictates an armor setup so why the hell does it have more shield than armour HPS?!?!
T2 Ammo (hail) is pretty much useless.. even your logs will show this with the amount of use (or lack of) - when's it going to be sorted when it makes more sense for us to fit faction ammo?
With the web nerf, will the Huginn / Rapier have their bonus modified for web strength (not range) (and remove the stupid TP bonus)
And a few other questions:
When are the Anti cloak pulse mods going to be released?
When are the races going to be truely unique again? (i.e. each one excels at certain things & suck at others instead of the current blur!!)
Black ops should be able to warp cloaked (without the cov-op cloak fitted) otherwise sort of defeats the purpose of using the ships as they'll appear on scan the minute you jump them in! When are they going to be sorted out properly? (sooner the better)

With more and more people going roaming "solo", with a falcon-alt sitting 150 km from the engagement permanently jamming, becoming VERY "in" these days, I was wondering:
1: Is this a way of "intented gameplay"???
Many forms of nerfs have been debated, ranging from not-too-clever (removing jammingbonuses) to more realistic (nerfing targetingranges on force recons)
2: Is there a nerf incoming for falcons???
Next, regarding the T1-market, it's a simple fact that a large part of eve's (highsec) T1-equipment isn't built, but all comes from missions being looted. Considering there is also some debate on level 4 missions giving too much isk:
3: Is there a possibility of nerfing loot, removing all T1 (non-named) loot from loot-tables???
When NPCcomplexes became un-static for the purpose of preventing farming, some were changed so they always remain inside their previous constellation.
4: As these are currently being farmed as much as when they were static, is there a removal of this constellation-restraint in sight, completely randomizing complex appearances???
Some questions regarding dyspro and prometium and the fact that they provide a static income-source for people holding them, as well as the fact that they create conflict:
5: Just as you changed complexes, from being static to being random, to prevent people from having static incomes, is there a plan in the works regarding randomizing moon-materials / some of the moon materials???
6: Do you view the fact, about rare moons creating conflicts, as a good enough thing, that you may consider changing the build-requirements for T2-parts, to make more moon-minerals needed, and as such increasing the need for more moon-minerals on the market, effectively increasing the need for moon-minerals, and as such, conflicts?
7: Are you open to the idea of moving the moon harvesters outside POSshields, and make them incapacitatable just like cynojammers are, in the hope of encouraging small scale PvP conflicts???
And to lowsec!
8: As lowering the secstatus-decrease for (most of) lowsec attacks has improved PvP there, if only slightly, are you open to further cutting down on the sec-status-losses for engaging in criminal acts / ship destruction in lowsec???
9: Why are there icebelts in highsec, despite the fact that all they produce is POSfuel and capship fuel, both of which are, primarily, for lowsec/0.0 use???
10: Is it true that the CCP staff, because of the financial crisis, has been forced into prostituting their bodies on the streets of the icelandic capital, in order to raise enough money to pay for your office electricalbill? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sleyn Peade, part of the public lowsec Moon Map Project
