Just curious which one is better for the fastest level 4 mission completion, in general?
I am not interested in "AFK Missioning". My alt has good drone skills. From what I can see (and I am still a bit of a noob), the Domi has the cool drone bonus, while the Mega seems to shine in just about every other area.
Will the Navy Mega out-DPS the Domi, in general? My main concern is getting through Level 4 missions as quickly as possible.
Where does the Navy Mega fit in? Would it be superior to the Domi and the regular Mega in just about every aspect of level 4 mission running?
If there's already been another thread on the subject, please forgive me, as I did look, and must have missed it.
Thank you for any input you may have! -Tal

Domi with a Armor Tank is a bit slower than a Mega, because of her lower DPS, Shieldtanked Domi can go close or surpass the Mega in therms of DPS, but Tracking will be not that good, so Im doubt it will mutch faster in realy.
Mega got the Tracking Bonus, also using 1-2 Meds for Trackingcomps making Rails Track most of the smaller stuff down to 10km. Mega with Sentrys is a very good Ship, huge Range and istant Damage, also some Missions with Respawns or Drone aggro are less painfull.
Navy Mega is quite good because of the higher Buffer and the extra Low, alowing a buffer style gameplay with more DPS, also it is black. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

Yes I used the Navy Mega simlar to my Abaddon, Med Rep and 2-3 Resistance Mods, wonŠt tank all the damage you take in the most cases but works agianst the 13k Armor what gives you time to kill most of the incomming DPS and stabilize the Tank somewhere around 50% Armor in harder Missions.
That frees up some more slots for Gank and Tracking in the end whats speeds up Missions quite a bit. |

The 13k Armor, that is about 5k more than on the normal Mega... ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

If you go with a Domi, go with a Sentry Domi. Heavy Drones take forever to reach targets, but Garde IIs can hit 500+ DPS, instantly apply damage and track better than any rail boat. Fill your highs with Rails and Drone Link Augmentors, a few Omnis in the mids. . . boom, variable damage type turret boat. |

Navy Mega Dread Guristas 425mm Rails (lower CPU, longer range) 3 Mag Stabs 2 Tracking Enhancers The rest is whatever you can afford/fit... AB, cap rechargers, sensor booster sometimes against serpentis.
You can't fit much of a tank on there but that makes it more fun, the idea is to sit around 40km away from anything shooting you and obliterate them. I warp in, get to range, then nail the frigs first. usually it's one shot for them. Then cruisers, BC, finally BS.
I can do AE in 40 minutes with this setup, not the fastest possible but pretty good.

Range is for Caldari unless you are flying a PvP Fleet setup that is supposed to hit at extreme ranges.
For NPC, time is money, being in range of your loot/salvage saves you the hassle of returning in another ship. Domi is great, but Mega is bit faster:
6 T2 Blasters, 1 Tractor, 1 Salvage MWD, Webber, 2 Cap RechargeT2 1 EANM2, 1 Mag Stab2, 1 Lrg Armor Rp2, 3 Armor Hrd2, 1 Cap relay Drones: 5 OrgeT2 Rigs: 1 Salvage, 1 Armor cap reducer (?name), 1 CCC
MWD in, web, kill with blasters and drones, Tractor and Salvage as you move onto next kill. Cap and Tank should hold triple BS spawns. |
