Hello,
My Skills
All i've ever done in EVE is run missions with friends, now they have left EVE for other things I want to turn to PVP. At some stage I decided to focus on Caldari but i'm not really focused on a specific Caldari ship thats useful for PVP.
I don't really want to cross train so i'm looking for some advice on which skills to focus on in order to become a Caldari pilot that is useful in a PVP situation.
Thanks! Me! |

Well looking at your skills you have a nice specialised character, in way of only flying one race of ships and omg your missile skills are nice. It really depends I think on what kind of pvp you are looking to do, would it be piracy, anti-piracy, 0.0 alliance warfare etc.
Let's say you wanted to join an alliance down in 0.0 and they hold space there. With your skills you can do pvp very nicely indeed, but think of what you can offer your fellow allies. You have propulsion jamming 5 already so you could train anchoring 5 so that you can deploy large T2 warp disruption bubbles - nice to have so you can assist alot with fleet. Also starbase defence management, after anchoring you could train this so that you can control POS weapon systems, again a big help to your alliance / corp.
Maybe get the ship skills to 4 which aren't already. Black ops can be a big help to an alliance or corp at times. I personally would kep with the skills you have though and just see about rounding them off to a standard i.e. level4. Then your skills will be nicely rounded and nomatter what you want to do you probably could.
Gunnery skills, although Railguns are nice for sniping, with your missile skills I would keep away from learning gunnery, for a while atleast as it would be a shame to spend time on hybrid turrets when you allready have such nice combat skills.
Just an opinion and other people will have different ideas, but as I say, it comes down to what kind of pvp you wish to do mostly.
EDIT: Just noticded you have Heavy Interdictor level 2, I would get that up to 4 so that you can use the HIC's properly, and check to see if you can use the HIC's module. It's a great ship and can be used in many situations, be it piracy, empire warfare or all out 0.0 lag fests.

HIC 4, Recon 4 would seem to be obvious answers. You can already fly a lot of useful PvP ships, but that would add two of the best. After that, then investing in gunnery so you can fly a fleet Rokh (assuming you're going to be involved in fleets) might be good. You even have cap skills - skilling up for those will make you pretty popular with any alliance.
If you wanted to respec, then your good drone skills make Gallante an obvious option, but you could equally easily go the Amarr route via Curse and Sacrilege while you train lasers.

Like Malcanis said, Gallente would be a good choice.
Not only would they make good use of your drones skills you would train for rails/blasters which work nicely with your caldari ships.
but then training amarr for a nice little zealot is quite rewarding too.

Serberus, it makes the best use of your missile and shield skills.

I'm going to state the obvious first. You should train up recons, command ships, dictors, inty's, etc... first. This gives you a wider variety of ships to use in pvp. Stick to flying the interceptors first in pvp, not because they are cheap. For all we know you may have 100b isk. But because they are extremely fun compared to anything else! It really gives you a feel for how to tackle someone and stay at the perfect range so you learn how to micromanage your ship.
Besides that train up Hull Upgrades V for the extra armor in case you are going down you can at the very least have the enemy fire upon you longer before going on to another gang mate. Fuel conservation to IV will be handy given that many ships may be using afterburners instead of mwd's soon.
Lastly and most time-consumingly. Train up your gunnery skills for the many Caldari rail boats! Rokh, Eagle, Harpy, whatever ship tickles your fancy. That will keep you busy for a while :)

Recon 5 - Falcon Railgun Spec 4 - Rokh Capitals (drone skills, nav skills) --
your small gang stuff is sorted, fly the Cerb for roaming stuff. But get your Rail specs up so you can field a sniper battleship - at least if you are looking at a 0.0 alliance. This will lead you towards capitals. ----
