Client, in windowed mode, crashes very consistently when I focus it by clicking on it when every window is tiled in ExposT.
My guess is it has something to do with how the click is sent into the program, something like the OS saying "you were clicked on by nothing, nowhere. But you are focused now".
Anyway, mac stability sucks. Does this game run fast in parallels? I'm downloading it now, dunno if I should have high hopes.

Hi Taarna Locnar.
Please file a detailed bug report on this issue and we'll look into it.

For me it isn't any more consistent than the crash I get by simply switching to another app and then back. If you are using the latest patch this is probably the very same bug (the illegal memory access while redefining the cursor) we've all been getting and discussing in the last week (see for example this thread)
In any case, as Casqade suggested, you should file a bug report with the crash log (see Casqade instructions in the aforelinked thread). Best if you also add the stack trace from the crash reporter set to "Programmer" mode (also see Qordel instructions in that thread).

Edited by: Soleramnus on 30/10/2008 22:16:57 Hi Taarna. I would not recommend using Parallels, as EVE does not run on it due to Parallels rather bad graphics support. VMWare Fusion does not work either. I would either use Bootcamp or Crossover from Codeweavers, though from this last patch I've had Crossover consistently crash on me when running EVE, making the game unplayable as far as that goes (I'm testing it this hour to see if it's still the caseùfirst few minutes in it seems just fine though, so you might want to give it a try). So your choices are Bootcamp (which gives you Premium), the regular Mac Client, or Crossover.
Also: Crossover doesn't have some of the graphical bugs you get in the Mac Client, specifically on Minmatar Station rendering. Overall it tends to just look better. And it also gives you the dock and menu bar functionality. IMO, it's kind of cool to have EVE as your desktop.
