I've usurped the throne at work and I'm now dictator of the music. No more commercial radio hell. To avoid it becoming my personal selection hell I need influences though, gotta keep it fresh.
So if you feel like pushing your favorite genre here do post some easy to appreciate tunes from the batch, no need to go way experimental or there will be some cut wires and a coup.

Pretty much anything by:
Dave Matthews Band Five for Fighting Counting Crows Rich Price
Pretty much anything in the "Adult Alternative" genre is good to listen to at most people's work. (Unless you work in a really blue-collar job, like metal worker or Mechanic or something. For some reason those guys always seem to have "classic rock" on.)
If you will be dealing with the public on a regular basis in your office, or you will have people on the phones within earshot of the music I'd avoid anything to heavy or "bass-y". You can still get creative, just nothing too freaky or loud or obnoxious, and absolutely nothing with tons of expletives. That'll go over like a lead ballon. (a SOLID lead balloon, not of those cool lead foil ones the Mythbusters made.) Tactical Logistics using the last T1 Frigate hull!

Prog Rock. Try Dream Theater or Porcupine Tree. Don't turn the bass up on DT or your eyes will explode and your chest will implode. ------------- Stop whining.

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 08/11/2008 00:19:12 Thanks, checking these out as I find the time and no, there will never be any Basshunter on there unless I'm going for the comedy option and it's frankly not there yet.
Slades display above was the optimal presentation though the songs were a little too mellow.
