Your own hype is your weakest link; the need for bragging damage yourself. It would work better, if you operated below anyone's radar.
As it is, no one would trust you as far as they could throw. If there is, then good enough, I shed no tear for fools. _______________________________________________

Have all the ISK put in escrow with Chribba lol. Although, I don't know if Chribba would want something like that weighing on his conscience lol.

Which speaks to your business ethics I'm sure. I say good luck in all your endeavors. I for one wish I had the kind of ISK it would take to hire you just so I could hear about the heist after the fact. GHSC is always good for an excellent read. ---------- The six paths and the four lives.... |

Then I guess this Nietzsche quote rings true in Eve as well:
"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.".
Best of luck in your endeavours nonetheless. _______________________________________________

It was reading about your Heist in PC Gamer that first made me want to play EVE. The game would be a more boring place without the GHSC.

Originally by: Istvaan Shogaatsu Edited by: Istvaan Shogaatsu on 01/11/2008 05:17:22 It's a pretty simple question. What do you want from the mercs you hire?
Mercenary corporations in Eve Online tend to approach the craft directly - big ol' spaceship blobs, shootin' them big ol' lasers at the guy you want killed. Don't get me wrong, that way of doing things is pretty effective - after a few months of protracted warfare against a competent enemy fielding many capital ships, most targeted corporations or alliances will fold.
But... what if you want something more. Something more vicious. Something more personal. What if someone pissed you off enough for you to decide to end them entirely. Well, we're your guys. We're in the business of revenge. We cost a lot, but our performance speaks for itself.
The Guiding Hand Social Club is here for you. We will make your enemies regret being born. We will lovingly craft packages of pain to your exacting demands, and inflict that pain upon your targets. There is nothing beyond our capabilities now. We have ended alliances at a whim, and directed others to do our wicked bidding. We have shaped the galaxy with our words, and our lies. You want us on your side.
Hire the Guiding Hand Social Club today.
These guys are amazing. Best mercs in eve, bar none.
Personally I'm the type that wants revenge. Ships can be replaced, but after you've had all of your gear stolen, your ships destroyed, your moral annihilated, and your corp/alliance disbanded, there is nothing left for you to go home to. Revenge is sweet.

Ah, the GHSC. I know nothing about them, and they nothing of me. Yet on a leaf through the pages of history, I see geat things done, and greater things coming undone before them.
Woah, just looked at a little history before clicking post and wow-a-wee. Look at that heist.
This is how its done.
Good luck to the bidder that wins.

Like thousands of players (presumably) it was the Ubiqua Seraph job that actually brought EVE to my attention and ultimately convinced me to play. The mere fact that such a thing was possible in a game left me awestruck, convincing me that all other MMOs were mere callow pretenders to the throne.
However I have to say that I really don't approve of GHSC's methods. As far as I'm concerned what starts in the game, stays in the game and if your tactics extend to real-life manipulation of a REAL person's feelings then you're getting dangerously close to crossing the moral event horizon, and I don't mean ingame. Besides, what could someone POSSIBLY do to you ingame that would make the kind of operation that the GHSC specialise in necessary to straighten out your bunched panties anyway? You'd have to be the kind of snitty, hypersensitive twerp whose reaction to the slightest inconvenience is to go on a roaring rampage of revenge to employ them, since their results are the kind of overkill equivalent to killing an ant with a sledgehammer (especially considering how much collateral damage they inflict on unrelated innocents). Frankly the kind of person who would hire the GHSC, knowing what they do and how they operate, is also the kind of person who probably deserves their attention themselves, something they almost certainly realize and profit greatly from.
On the other hand, you can't deny that their sheer ability is staggering and their profesionalism is admirable- they're not "petty" at all. My long-term plan for dealing with them is to never get offside of them or anyone who would find it possible to employ them.
By the way Mr Shogaatsu, did you know that on the TV Tropes Wiki (a database of all manner of entertainment-related information) the EVE Online article lists you under the categories of 'Magnificent Bastard' and 'Psycho For Hire'?

Personally, if I ever have need of these guys, I wouldn't go after the offender in question. I would have them go after every last pal that person has, and then eat their family pets as an abject lesson in pain and fear. Personally, I'd love to see them get wedgies using their ships as a thong, but let's be real, you know?
