Okay i'm a noob here and i just took a look at the Sentry Drones and i was wondering if anyone could explain to me how they work. :Like for say do i have to load them into my drone bay to deploy them? also do i have to stay by them for them to work? Also another thing is if i have kill rights on someone will they auto open fire on that person or do i have to tell them to open fire. Also am i allowed to play them in 0.6 sec systems? Do i need to load them with ammo or what not? If anyone could help me out with this it would be very helpful and thanks for reading ^.^

Sentry drones are normal drones with zero velocity, huge optimal range, and lots of hit points. They behave like any other drones, other than the differences above.

Okay so i do have to load them into my drone bay to launch them correct? or can i launch them from my cargo hold as not many ships i see have large enought drone space to fit one also, can i leave them where they are and warp out then back in and just re-activate them?

They have to be in your drone bay. You're correct that they take up a lot of space. It's cause they have good firepower/hitpoints.

If you have set your drones to passive, they should never automaticly attack.
If you have set your drones to aggressive, they should only attack those who are attacking you.
So if he is just flagged (ie he flipped a can) then your drones should not attack. But once you open fire on him, or in low sec, if he shoots first, then your drones should counter attack, if set for aggressive.
This is the same for all types of drones not just sentry drones.
Also if you leave your drones behind when you warp off, you will need to fly within 1500m and scope them into your drone for redeployment before you can use them again. If you abadon drones like this, ANYONE can come along and scope them up. There is no flagging for scoping drones. Again this applies to all types of drones.

Originally by: Sandeep Sentry drones are normal drones with aprox. 1 m/s top velocity, decent to huge optimal range depending on type, and lots of hit points. They behave like any other drones, other than the differences above.
Fixed.
