In November we had 1 patch In December 3 patches In January 4 patches In February 4 patches In the last 18 days of March we had 8 patches, and that was just the main client, I think there were 3 or 4 for the launcher and now in April we've had 2 in the first 4 days
Please, Please, Please can we go back to no more than 1 patch per week, it's getting really annoying having to patch almost every other day.

I disagree, the 'frequent' patches generally take less than a minute to install and fix problems that in the past would have had to wait for one of the major expansions. I like it. |

I disagree, the 'frequent' patches generally take less than a minute to install and fix problems that in the past would have had to wait for one of the major expansions. I like it. Our plan is to push out fixes more frequently and as soon as possible after they have been made and verified so that players get their hands on them sooner. We were already able to do that in a number of cases with client updates that updated certain parts of the client (Python code only), while full client patches (including any binary, DLL and art assets updates) were still more cumbersome. With the new launcher then deploying full client updates is easier and we plan to take advantage of that to improve the overall quality of EVE. Erlendur S. More patches means more problems get solved faster. Besides, are you on Dial-up or something, because my patches download and install in a matter of minutes. Keep up the good work Devs.
P.S. I know I'm Amarrian, but I'm really excited for new missiles/launchers! |

Yes it is annoying as hell, to patch 4 clients every day. But I prefere beeing annoyed for 10 mins (for patching) over beeing annoyed for 4 h because I can not jump or whatever bug thex fixed.
I hope that hole patching thing will get better, as soon as that Launcher thing is working properly...

And if you do junctions (assuming the 4 clients are on the same box), then you can just patch once and be done. (Other then the client data patches, which are still a pain.)
Also, more frequent patches being rolled out means that the developers and QA folks stay current with the patch process. That makes it more likely that the patch day will go off without a hitch.
