The bonus from the crow is applied to rockets or missiles, and adding a 4th launcher would increase dps, but it would still do lower dps than the taranis, claw and crusader.
The crow has the advantage of being able to do damage from any distance between 0 and 60km. It wont have trouble doing damage while perma running its own MWD.If the penalty for getting higher damage would be to remove the range advantage would you still want it?.
And yes, the crows role isnt damage dealer, it is a great ship when you need to stop otheers from running away, and being able to pick off annoying frigates. And it can do it from a pretty safe distance. If you think the kestrel is better, why dont you fly the kestrel then? It saves you a lot of isk.

So wait, you're comparing a slow damage modded taranis with blasters fitted to a crow that has long range missiles fitted and no damage mod?
Atleast do us a favor and fit rockets + dmg mod and then compare. And the dps of a rocket crow is not THAT bad if you consider the range.
I have perfect missile skills, other than spec 5. I am using rockets, and a ballistic control. In fact I could completely use faction gear. The crow sits around 150 dps, and thats faction everything.
A standard t2 setup neutron taranis cranks over 225 dps. This is including its 2 light drones (roflcopter in itself). If you overheat, you can near 300 dps. That also includes the damage implant for small hybrids. I will also take this time to point out that the missile counterpart is hardly ever for sale in Jita.
That is fine with me though. The taranis should do more damage. It has no range, and its guns take a lot of cap. I don't want to out damage a taranis.
I want our interceptor to be just like everyone elses in that it does the most damage in our frig size of ships.

Honestly probably will, there really is no reason not too. And with scrams shutting down mwd's, everyone should be really using them which sort of negates the crow's range advantage. But you will figure that out the first time a claw runs you down.

General pulse crusader fits have something like 100-120dps at 10km range. Why do you want so much more ANd with greater range? You know your light missiles WILL hit after patch. Just because you have one oddball tripple dmg bonused t1 frig doesn't give you the excuse to boost all your t2 frigs damage to unreasonable level.
If you want to compare, compare to other ceptors. ----------------------------------------- [Video] The Cruise |

I like my crow the way it is. And I really like the diversity that still exists in the game. I can choose what kind of inty I want to fly depending on what Im doing or just the mood at the time. If all the races ships where the same with different color schemes I would probably rage quit and give away all my stuff to Chribba.

How would adding a launcher change its diversity 0_o.
In all honesty, what really irks me is there is nothing to put in that high slot atm. If you play with standard launchers at range, there is no weapon to stick there. Even if the powergrid wasn't lacking, using a long range weapon would suck because A) you have no ship bonus and B) it probably won't hit since one of the advantages of the crow is you don't have to worry about tracking.
Even the single best Crow video ever made put an autocannon there that never got used. Its just a pointless slot. |

Making it have to high dps while still having a speed/range advantage would obsolete the other ships. And balancing it by reducing range while buffing dps would make it just the same as the others.

I have no idea what to put there either usually. Have tried offlined modules to get some extra overheat damage, or an autotargeter to get some more targets. But I usually end up with a salvager. Its just another utility slot that dont fit in any cookie cutter setup.

It would still have the lowest dps. It would begin to rival the crusader, but really the crusader is sort of broke too.

Yes, changing just 1 will open a can of worms. And rebalancing them would most likely make them all bland. I love to able to chose between the gung ho, do or die style of the taranis/claw, or the safer "you cant touch me" style of the crow/(and ideally crusader).
