it's unbelievable that game which has been developed for over 5 years have so buggy and slow user interface. it seems like only right thing that ccp could do is throw away this piece of crap and hire competent people to rewrite it from scratch. im sure they have enough money to do that!
tip for my fellow newbies: close the rookie chat as soon you log in, as it makes the game unplayably laggy after 30 minutes. without it i can last for several hours before i have to relog.

On the plus side, I was able to get away from a gang that dropped on top of me... presumably they lagged out trying to target me:)
On the negative side, the hitching and progressively worsening speed for menus/r-click stuff is making me want to scream.
32 bit XP 8800gts 3 gigs ram 3 ghz C2D Premium graphics, single client.
Ran excellently pre patch. Lag was almost non-existent(I even sent off an email telling them they'd done a great job with StacklessIO). Now... well... I'm thinking about sending another sort of email
Oddly, my ram use seems to stabilize at ~600 megs after an hour or so of play, yet the lag creeps ever onwards.
It is a mystery.

Ahh.. And I just updated every driver on my XP - 64bit dual core system with 6 gig thinking my computer was too weak or some driver was corrupted. Even did the Direct X runtime update :(

It isn't our systems, it's CCP's bad coding and a craptotal client. They are trying to save money by not hiring a QA team.

I have the same problem, actually waiting that they do something to solve this. Its a living game, there are happenings, events, actions and reactions. The happening we suffer actually is the lag, what we have to do is wait that they fix it. Reading most of the posts in this thread reminds me at a often read sentence, when people get griefed and bashed and post their anger in the forums:

We all accept that things happen but the very least that CCP could do would be to let its paying customers know that they are aware of the issue and are looking into it we have had no feed back about this issue so far. |

It's not whining, it's customers complaining about poor quality products and poor customer service. We pay CCP to delivery a good quality product along with good quality support, they are failing on this, hence the complaints.
I dont mind not playing for a few days, thats no big deal but please remember that this is costing people a lot of isk in lost business, trades, missions, mining etc.
And like so many other CCP issues, there will be no compensation in relation to this failure on their side yet again.
Whining NO. Legitimate complaints by paying customers, YES.

dunno what is going on with CCP but they act as they are still drunk from FanFest...there was no announcement that patch was deployed successfully as they usually like to brag after every minor fix they do.And now there is no word after 7 days of customers complaining about memory leaks and bunch of other bugs in client(one of them being overview refreshing in fleet fights which completely lags out client).
Wake up CCP.

When it becomes so bad that your frame rate becomes 0 for like a minute when running ONLY ONE CLIENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on a good computer and the lag lasts even when your docked and the load isnt as bad. This is saying something about how UNPLAYABLE this game has become. I really dont want to quit this game, but if its going to be this bad in every fleet battle then i dont know what to do :\. THIS IS MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If CCP cant fix this soon then maybe it would be better to rollback to empyrian age until this patch becomes solidly acceptable.

Yet another "I can't play" thread.
Eve went great yesterday night. Today can't login, can't play for more than 60 seconds. Maybe I shouldn't have opened my corp hangar? Maybe I shouldn't have tried to communicate with my corp?
Hmm. Are you still ignoring this/us ccp? SHUT DOWN THE SERVERS AND FIX, NOW! Your playerbase is extremely angry.
Power of 2 offer? What do I have 4 accounts for if I can't login 2,... atm can't even play one.
Love your game so much, I'm not whining about going to wow - we all know this game is unique and no other game can compete with eve. That's why I'll try logging in another hour, then get some RL done out of desperation.
Second post of mine on this issue. I'll petition next. Maybe I'll find someone who will listen, cause I'm sure you people can't be bothered to even read this forum atm.

Fellow addicts: I found a partial solution to my problem, might help you too.
I just deactivated my anti virus software (Avira - German Client), and voilß I can now play one of my accounts for 10 minutes without being booted.
Deactivating some of the unindentifiable processes in the task manager also helped speed up things.
Not saying I'm happy I want to mine with my 2 hulks + hauler :P But at least now I can play.
Second account crashes after login.

I just turned my Cache off and played for the last hour. While not perfect it is a significant improvement on what I have been dealing with the last 6 days. Big reduction in lag. Not sure how long it will last, it might just buy me an extra few hours.
P.S CCP, I shouldnt have to change any of my settings, you guys should have got it right first time. |

I've been having the same issues as everyone else. Eve opens like crap, session changes take forever. ect, ect. Opened up my task manager and watched it for about 2 hours. Seems there is a memory leak/storage problem. My clien starts off using about 700megs with prem graphics and 593 with the old graphics and continues to rise as i go through gates, dock and open new windows up in EvE.
I have to agree with some of the earlier posts about us being paying customers and this being a "lemon" of a product this time around. I do believe CCP should start respecting the player base a bit more when it comes to the "computer" side of things ( re-eburrsment for ships, ISK and other such things when stuff like this happens)

Running 2 accounts windowed is unbearbale now. The clients lag out enormously. Yesterday the account i had autopiloting in highsec in the background lagged out so bad it turned of the autopilot midway to destination. (up until then it had taken about 3min/jumpsequence)
In 0.0 today (and only runnig 1 account due to omnilag) I experienced the worst lag i ever had while in a small roaming gang (15-20ppl). Jumps took forever, drones decided to not return to bay (lol wtf new bug, they just kept spinning around the ship like mosquitos on acid when asked to return to bay), general bad control of game functions ensuing.

I also am getting some kind of lag issue with the game. I have noticed all of the symptoms noted; especially that it seems too get worse with time. Ive also had major lag on fittings window and market window etc etc. After an hour or sometimes eve less the game becomes completly lagged out. Also noticed the "ghost-Icons" in the target selection / actions box on the overview. Lots of Bugs too clear up here it seems.
Please look into this and get it fixed asap. Everything "lag - wise" was looking great just prior too this latest expansion.
Also maybe a CCP representative could give some kind of official post in this thread too publically aknowledge recognition of the problem. Maybe even give us some hope that it will all be dealt with.

In case you are not aware. Turn OFF weapon grouping... it's a known issue amongst the player base even though CCP fails to acknowledge this. But there are plenty of other issues, only one of which is this horrendous lag.
Since it's obvious CCP is unwilling to save customers by simply *acknowledging that there are issues* I'll do it for them.
"Hi we are looking into the issues reported since the QR expansion. We will provide information regarding solutions for these problems as they become available. Please continue submit bug reports and petitions, this greatly speeds up resolution time. Thank you for your patience."
Yep... that was pretty tough to come up with. |

Everyone needs to start filing petitions on this issue. These forums are just the complaint area that they can ignore.
WORST PROGRAMMERS EVER!!!!!!!! Microsoft does a better job at making full initial OS releases (Vista) than CCP does with a simple patch. CCP is a joke.
See I can say this cause I know they don't read the Issues Forums.

Getting a bit peeved about this client lag and the only response I've heard of or seen so far has been to file a bug report. Please read the forum here where people have been giving their computer specs and reporting what is happening. I'm getting lag just resizing my inventory window!

Lag could also have something to do with graphics. My 7800 GS card gets in the upper 70's unless I underclock it below factory when playing eve. None of my other games make it this hot.

Sounds like a memory leak, gonna try turning of weapon grouping tonight, see if it helps (I only used it on 1 account), while I have 3 more open. |

I tried to turn off weapon grouping, and it actually seems to work a bit better... The client still slows down after roughly the same amount of time, but it doesn't get those 5 seconds freeze-ups every 30 seconds. Not yet, anyway

Yessir it's a start.
Now hopefully the guy who denied my petition for reimbursement will read it. I am doing much better on one client now with those suggestions. But if I use two, I have about an hour and I have to restart.
Prepatch I was running 3 clients flawlessly. |
