This would be nice. I presume the only reason it hasn't been done is because of server load. However, as is, it is impossible to send a moderately sized kill-mail to another person.

I think there should atleast be space for 3 or 4 decent sized paragraphs. I would love to write as much as i could in a real email though. |

Notepad should be stored client side and allow you as much space as you want. Dae.

Wrong, the whole point of it being server side is that you can access it from any computer that you use EVE on, this would be a backward step imo, don't really notice the lack of space much, I do however feel the pinch on evemails and bio.

Sending a commercial proposal in several parts sucks too...
The evemails are really too short, and don't tell me it's to avoid some nasty stuff as people have been doing in bios, while show info on someone is done in unsafe place, reading mail is really the thing you would not do when in pvp. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

Please, more space.
For god's sake a FORUM POST can be longer than an evemail, I think we get what, 1000 characters? It doesn't even stop us from using the same message lengths, we just send more mails. Indeed, given overhead from each mail, that takes up more DB space, not less.
Of course, I'm of the opinion CCP should just implement an full-on email server and be done with it. Though admittedly evemail in my Thunderbird would make it impossible for me to ever get ANYTHING done . -------------------- Originally by: Crumplecorn

EVE mail and Bio agreed. Notepad would be nice if you could copy/paste it like Bookmarks for quick sharing of NPC rat damage/resist stats, etc. between friends.

Maybe Bios need to be server side but private Evemails and notepad don't need to be saved server side, just corp and alliance mails so everyone who hasn't logged in can pick them up. If they also have a lifespan, that can be avoided as well so we can have them clientside and keep them after the server has deleted them from it's database. A small marker denotes that the server does not have a copy so it is up to use if we want to keep them or not.
If these evemails etc can be optionally saved to a text file backup, we don't even need to worry about clearing the cache and wiping them with it.

EVEMail, Biographys and the notepad entries used to be larger once... I don't know what the Devs smoked when they decided to shorten them (I want some of that), but we allready feared that they might shorten us to SMS length - 160 characters...
