The patch was deployed 6 days ago and people are complaining about lag. From my experience is to soon. There are still several bugs in game (including one that when you jump to other system the ship disapears ).
I give the benefit of the doubt to CCP ... only in about1-2 months we will see if lag is under control or not. Give it time.

I should clarify by stating that the only market hub I visit regularly is Amarr and most of my time is divided between mission-running and lowsec, so I'm not in any especially high-lag situations often. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

What CCP needs to do is fix these huge memory leaks which is making ships/stargates/stations invisible after a while and which is also creating this added lag. |

1) The poll hasn't the purpose to offer or discuss solutions (which I expect mainly from the developers and not from the players, tbh), it has a "political" intention (pressure, attention, or so).
2) Regarding the performance of client PCs you might be right that a lot of lag issues are the result of underpowered computers. Nevertheless me and (I guess) most of the others complaining about bad performance didn't do anything else than downloading and installing a piece of software without touching hardware and any system settings. So if performance is worse than before it's obviously the software (or server side modifications coming along with the patch) - either something is bad or buggy programmed or the software contains intended features requiring more client resources (which someone could tell us kindly: "Did we already say that you need now a dual quadcore xeon system with 16 Gig RAM to play EVE properly, didn't we?")
Originally by: Sobic Kurophsky I've seen an obvious improvement
Ah, now you have voted in this stupid poll. Can I consider this as an X for option 1 or 2?

^Yep.
While there is some post-patch issues. Just fought in VNG last night and had pretty much no lag beyond grid load.
SOME post patch issues? I have no doubt that you are having a good and lag-free experience, however, evidently many are not.
Eve ran just fine for me before the QR patch. Now I need to restart the client every 30-45 minutes to get acceptable performance during post-jump grid/system load at the very least (this is obviously not an option during fleet ops) and get the memory usage below 1GIG again. Is that lag or a memory leak? Doesn't make much difference to me what you call it, as long as you don't call it "some post-patch issues" and tell people to fix their computers.
I think those who were involved up in the Vale this weekend know what I'm talking about. ...

So, what your basically saying in fewer words is, you were wrong?
Also, why didn't you post your little nugget of wisdom in those threads telling those people that "it was they're fault"?
Oh, and finally, I filed my bug report, turns out turning your cache from "none" to "low" will get rid of the bizzare "C++ visual blah blah blah" bug they've got going right now.
You know Sobic, if you weren't such a fan boi, posts like this wouldn't be needed, but for some reason, without looking, you chose to "white night" for CCP. Take a hint, they don't need you, we all know that post patch is always buggy and messed up for days, and all you did, in your infinite wisdom, is make yourself look stupid by saying its usuaully the players fault.
Its NEVER been the players fault. Got it now?

This.
We have noticed that when peeps are typing in fleet chat is get progressivly worse really fast. What could have been a good fight with TRI last night turned into a big clusterF for both sides.

I have not played Eve in about 3 months, and prior to this patch the last 3 patches that I had downloaded had resulted in errors during the patching and the game was being wonky for me. So this time I uninstalled and downloaded the client (that has the current build) and reinstalled.
The game has been running quite a bit better than it used to. Is this because of the new build or the fact that I have a fresh install, I have no idea.

1-2 months? This isn't the old "Jita Lag" or "800+ fleet fights Lag" we're talking about. This is severe performance bug in the client after the recent patch which makes the game pretty much unplayable, no matter where in EVE you are, after 1-2 hours or so of playing.
After they nerfed Ghost Training, now more than ever does crap like this need to be fixed ASAP.
Before people could set a long skill and re-sub when whatever bug that happened to ruin the game experience for them was fixed, and not miss out on training. Which softened the blow a bit. Now that you pay full price to keep training while you're unable to enjoy the game, people will be a lot less patient and forgiving ( especially considering the blatant lying CCP did when they removed Ghost Training ).

I fly mostly in low sec in non-populated areas. That might help with why i do not notice much change. I did notice the usual desyncing and warping a few times to gates, failure to lock on the first try, etc., but that for me has been there before the patch on a number of occasions as well. |

Sorry but we have lag issues now .. package loss from the CCP's side .. remember when the server crashed and hadto be offline for a whole day ..
and it continues like this ..
Comeon .. just scrap this expansion and give us the old game back .. at least IT WORKS !!!

Note that the above answer only takes lag issues into consideration. If the memory leak is added into this, then it becomes a "much worse than before" answer. |

[X] No, it is much worse than before.
Accessing the items in station, or most UI components, wallet etc results in painfully unplayable lag - 10 or 12 seconds to open the fitting tool for example. This takes time to build up though.
Pre QR patch this was never an issue. Same hardware, same O/S. . . 8/ everyone |
