Edit: probably should have posted this in Industry instead of Market, but market is involved as there's no way a Gallente pilot can compete price-wise with someone doing the exact same thing a few jumps away in Minmatar space.
Stumbled onto something that I find incredibly unbalanced last night.
Gallente LP store item:
Federation Navy 100MN Afterburner Blueprint, requires Industry V and some other skills to manufacture the item.
Minmatar LP store item:
Republic Fleet 100MN Afterburner Blueprint, requires only Industry I to manufacture.
Umm, am I crazy or is this just fundamentally unfair? Both produce the exact same item (stat-wise), both items cost the same amount of tags (except Caldari tags are far more expensive than Amarr), same LP, same ISK. Only one requires about 9 days worth of skilling up, and the other does not.
Am I the only ****le here who finds this just a bit peculiar? |

I'd file a bug report. Stuff like that is easy to overlook. |

It's well known that you only need duct-taping skill for Minmatar equipment, so L1 industry seems quite right to me |

I should also mention that this is by no means just confined to a single item.
Some other examples I looked at were: Federation Navy/Republic Fleet 100MN MicroWarp Drive Blueprint Federation Navy/Republic Fleet Large (type) Smartbomb Blueprint Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer /Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer Blueprint etc., etc.
All of them are the same. Except Minmatar LP versions require Industry I and that's it. Gallente versions require Industry V plus some additional skills.
What's more, there's a serious disparity in the materials needed for manufacture as well, not just the skills. The Minmatar version requires basic minerals and nothing else. The Gallente versions require Meta 0 of the item, plus some other manufacturing component.
I don't know, maybe I'm doing something disastrously wrong, but it seems to me Gallente are getting really screwed on their LP store blueprints. |

Very true, our ships are made out of rust and duct tape. Heck the engine to my rifter is made out of and old heater, fridge for cooling, and strategically placed duct tape. And powered by some home made moonshine, which explains why we have some of the fastest ships in the universe. |
