Pyramids.
I could never really live with the explanations and theories people had on how they were built because it just didn't make any sense. To me "aliens built it" was far more plausible than some of the improbable and unworkable ideas people had on it.
This one seems to work. |

EDIT: Does it have to do with internal ramps?

if it'd be possible build a warp drive, warp 4000 light years away from Earth, build a telescope the size of a planet, then you could watch pyramids being built. lol uʍop ǝpısdn ǝɹnʇɐuƃıs ʎɯ ƃuıpɐǝɹ ǝɹɐ noʎ

Or use a micro-singularity to bend light back around the universe and be able to see into the past.
Oh wait that was Denzil Washington in Deja Vu.

That internal ramp is how they got people and cargo into the docked ships when the rings were offline!

Rather good theory. Why they continue to argue over these theories is beyond me though. Is it too difficult to just say 'they built it somehow'. Argueing over whether a primative society had the technology and the knowledge to move large blocks of stone always seemed silly to me. |

Hmm, seems internally coherent, independently verified (provisionally), and physically possible.

It's not really moving large blocks per sT, but it's the assembly of the things that academics disagree over. |

Not really, because if you can not explain how they did it that means;
a) they're laughing at us, even from their graves b) we might miss some insight that could help us in our present day c) the other explanation is uhm... more intriging but makes for more questions than answers

The theory sounds plausable and logical.
However, there are still too many "unsolved" mysteries surrounding the pyramids, such as the stellar alignment to a period far earlier than the supposed build time, the corrosion on the sphynx (sp?) and the perfect cutting of the stone that even modern machines can't easily achieve.
I suppose we will never know. |

The stellar alignment thing has been explained by the shape of the plateau and the fact that they're not actually aligned to Orion. |

there's nothing primative about ancient societies.

In my oppinion, religion and time can make humanity really push the limits. To us it would sound crazy to move such large blocks around and put them in some meaningful shape (generalizing for the sake of argument here). Back then it got you a nice spot in the afterlife, which was pretty well desired considered how hard life was.
Shame I can't see the vid at work, I assume it elaborates on the actual techniques rather than the mindset behind it?
