What ships tend to be used by suicide gangs?

anything you can afford to lose. though T2 frig gangs are fun, mix of inties and AFs, though I have seen some where people have taken HACs and BSs.

I've always been a fan of t1 cruisers.
Arbitrators, Thorax, and Vexors in numbers can lay down some drone hurt. Supported by some caracals spewing anti interceptor death and gun damage out of omens and ruppies, good disposable times ensue.

T1 cruisers are very well suited for suicide gangs, since they are fully insurable, can withstand some low sec gate guns and are relatively cheap.

Would someone explain the term "suicide gang." I hear it a lot and am still not sure what it exactly means. If it means a FW group heading deep into Amarr...count me in! |

I myself prefer the ever lulzy rookie ship gang, most fun I ever had in FW was in one of them. |

Usually, I would think a "suicide gang" is a gang making suicide attacks on rich freighters in highsec; the idea is to kill the freighter before succumbing to CONCORD, having an alt nearby to scoop up the loot.
Lately, however, when some say "suicide gang" they seem to be referring to a "tank gank" gang or swarm that seeks to use a blob of cheap, throwaway ships to overwhelm a greatly superior ship with DPS before it can do more than pop one or two. This seems to be how the majority of replies to this thread are taking the OP.
Some might nod their heads if I described a pair of Hulks mining at the top belt in Amamake with a command ship for security as a "suicide gang."

It's more of a fitting thing than what type of ship.
Essentially it fits this criteria:
1) cheap enough to lose 2) fitted for gank 3) minimum or no tank - Concord are going to kill you, you only need enough tank to survive until they arrive. 4) enough DPS to do the job before Concord lock you down.
The cruisers are generally well suited, but any ship you can afford to lose will do. A T2 fitted destroyer can pump out a LOT of DPS and isn't that expensive.

what value of cargo or fitted mods make it worth while to do a high sec gank?
