A few of us wanted to set-up a Mining Training Program for new players who may be interested in this and other industry pursuits within Eve. The goal is for any player to join and be able to get into a Covetor within a few months and without any cost or obligation on their part. Pilots can leave at anytime and/or leave upon completion. They will likely be given the opportunity to stay on as well. All ore mined can either be sold to the market or the corporation.
We will provide the following:
- Free Ships: Mining Frigate, Cruiser, Industrial, Mining Barge (up to a Covetor)
- Free Skills Training (Skillbooks Purchased by Corporation)
- Free Drones - To protect you while mining
- Guidance from fellow corp members on chat and Ventrilo
Veteran miners are also welcome to join and assist with the mining training program and to learn about other aspects of industry. Hopefully this is useful and helpful for new pilots.
To join - message me on the forums or in game with Mining Training Program in the subject and/or message Darth Shatner. The Corporation's name is Meeples on the Hunt.
Fly safe!

I know your intentions are good and all, but advertising on the forum like this is a surfire way to end up getting a wardec, so hopefully you are prepared for this.

wait.. what?
You're setting up a training corp to teach people how to do the simplest and most boring activity in EVE? This is CRAZY. First, you're going to get numerous war-decs within your first week. Second, your corp is going to get filled with idiots who take your free stuff and then gank the other miners. Third, can my alt join please? |

Edited by: Artheon on 21/11/2008 00:01:11 Lasus - We are in Minmatar space. I will send you an eve-mail tonight with details about the corporation / location and so forth. If you would like any other friends to join up - just tell me when you get my eve mail or convo me when you see me online.
Dear Abby - That is amazing, thank you! I will send an eve-mail to you with some information and a suggested time/place.
Re: Wars - It is definitely a risk that we talked about before posting to the forums. We will deal with what comes but we thought this was a good idea that we wanted to try out.
Hah, yes Chribba :) If you know anyone that maybe interested in this(from either the student or the director side), send them our way. Would appreciate it.
Cheers!
Artheon
P.S. To pay proper credit to where it is due - the idea was used by the first corp I joined in Eve. Kiri Jol took us in and trained us - it was informal but great. Our group of industrialists are now all over Eve having fun. Hopefully we can do it again.

Hey Artheon, it's been a while. =] I came back to EVE a little while back to find the old corp deserted. =(
Have you contact you in-game sometime to catch up. I'm currently looking around at possible mining outposts and groups to work with so I might have a look into your corporation. =) |
