Guys,
A friend in the EvE community who shall remain nameless has recently become a father for the second time. Unfortunately his daughter decided to appear very much prematurely, and since then there have been a number of scares.
I feel totally frustrated in being unable to help him - so I had this idea. If anyone has any suitable messages of support, or positive similar experiences they can relate, please post them here and if it looks good I will alert him to this thread so he can read it.
Obviously a degree of sensitivity is needed. Thanks in advance for your support. |

He has my symapathies, my sister went through the same situation and I know how tough that can be.

There's plenty of good community. The OP should report the thread and request a move to OOPE with some cleanup, and he'll get his answers there good as any.
I myself am completely speechless, apart from "good luck" |

Moved to OOPE.
We've had a few scares at birth in the family ourselves. It's not a pleasant feeling to have no influence over matters, so the next best thing is to stay positive and hope. |

I have no experience with such uncertain circumstances, but my heartfelt best wishes to him anyway xx |

Edited by: Jack Rowanburn on 20/11/2008 22:56:01 I'd like to offer my hopes that everything is Ok and continues to be - the birth of my daughter scared the hell out of me even though she was only a week early so I can only imagine how he must feel. On a positive note, one of my friends was born at 26 weeks and it was touch and go, he's 25 now. For all the stick they recieve, the medical profession has some truly remarkable people and your friends daughter is in the safest hands. ------------- Insert Sig Here |

Staying positive always helps. I wish him and his family the best. Personally, I was born 6 weeks early. Not terrible, but still not great. I think I got pneumonia soon after, but they took care of it. I was in an incubator for a few weeks before I could actually go home too. Other than that, nothing else came of it and I'm perfectly healthy. How premature was his daughter?
