After several monthes of playing, I can see that this game is unfair for any players except those that play as pirates or Wariors. This unfairnes comes in the form of warp locking. Since miners, engineers, and other jobs slots train different areas than wariors. They are targeted with great success by pirate players and wariors. In reality warp locking is NOT possible! This feature in the game prevents players that mine and manufacture and transport goods from enjoying the game to its fullest potential. Without warp locking, player pirates would be hard pressed to catch and kill all players as players would be able to warp out before being totally destroyed. With warp locking its just a duck shoot. kinda like baiting deer and shooting it when it comes to eat the bait. Theres no sprt in that! newer players stand no chance to even defend themselves as they have limited shield and guns. The warp locking feature should be eliminated from the game to make it more enjoyable for all players and stop gate campers from duck shooting.

I agree with you. I have been playing for over 3 1/2 years and have my own corperation. Ihave lost many ships on missions and just going to station to get items I have purchased that I cannot make or minerals I cannot mine. A pirate player trains guns, shields, and other offensive books, while I need to train in manufacturing mining, trading, ore processing, and different Unarmed ships or minimumily aarmed ships that barely can fight off the rats in the systems. they were never intended to fight in major battles or take on a battle cruier or even a detsroyer. The only option for my ships is to run and with warp locking there is no defense. Not even with 4 warp stabilizers on board. the three players that have answered are of coarse players who abuse the warp locking features meant for fleet battles and use it for piracy and terror and after destorying anothers unarmed ship try to extract millions of isk to not destroy their pod too! It would be a much better game if warp locking were taken out of the game.

Dude, I fly a Hulk, and got decent mining skills. But 70% of my skills after 7 months are PvP related :). Even if you do something else then fighting, try and get in a corp that has pritection. I am. We have large minig ops once in a while, with BS support and such, and commandships for more dps and gang mods. If you are in a small corp get some new players in that are comabat oriented, or apply to a larger alliance.
EVE is a PVP game, and PVP is not just fighting, its market PVP as well, empire building PVP and such.
You got loads of options open to you, you just need to reach out. There are many who welcom industry corps in alliances since they can bring a good solid core of iks and ship supply, so the "warriors" and the industry guys both benefit from it.

If you got your own corp and have problems like this you are doign it wrong. As I have said, join an allaince, do not operate in low sec alone, go to 0.0 space (yes, its is rather safe if doen right). Or just get some combat oriented guys in your allaince. Its a MMO after all, its all about cooperations.

Hi. I was a diehard minerbear for my first year or so in Eve.
You'll never win a shootout with a pvp-oriented character if all your SPs are in industry and mining. That doesn't mean you're defenseless though, far from it.
I operated in lowsec quite a bit mining exploration sites and never lost a barge to pirates and never got caught at gates. I found my best defenses against pirates were my wits - one can *always* avoid a fight in lowsec if they fly smart and know what they're doing, and my pocketbook. I can afford to throw tens of millions of ISK around so I did (and still do). Polycarbs are expensive but they saved my ass more than once, and fitting best-named on my pvp ships costs buckets but it made up a little bit for my crappy skills (and let me fight can flippers with a 100% success rate)
Now, I'm not big into mining anymore (got Exhumers V and called it quits) but the lessons I learned from those days helped a lot when I got into FW.

Ok first, where are you mining, trading or hauling? Second, did you get war dec'd? third, l2 fit yoru ships with defenses for easy escape. Warp stabilizers ftw.
Finally, no decent pilot goes into space without some pew pew skills. Train up your yoru electronics, engineering and mechanic skills so your ship lasts longer. Putting an ecm on a badger is not a bad thing.
And of course have a healer and tank with you in case you get into trouble.

I believe you are missing the point. The area of eve is divided into three categories with varying levels of security. This dynamic atmosphere allows a wider range of play, specifically, a true player run environment in the form of 0.0 space. The low sec buffer provides the opportunity for another player base to interact between the resource rich outer regions and the consumer market of empire. You want unlimited access to the player run envornment, but under the assumption of current prices and supply. The benefit of these areas to you will diminish significantly as access is now unrestricted.

FTL Engines have not been invented in real life. EvE is sci-fiction.
In EvE ...
Warp Disruption = Electronic Warfare. Warp Scramblers and Disruptors focus energy to targeted FTL Engines and disables them.
There is no subsystem targeting in EvE. Even if there was, a ship would be able to enter warp before any serious damage can be inflicted to the FTL Engines.
Removal of warp interdiction would decimate economy and the game. Since the Warrior class of EvE would not be able destroy ships there would be no reason to build ships since it would be rare that a ship is destroyed. The gamers that like to blow sh*t up would get bored and leave EvE for a game that can satisfy.
Even if you propose to offer an alternative method of interdiction that was more "beliveable" to the originator of this thread ... why bother? The current one works so very well and has been a success for many years. Those no sane reason to re-invent interdiction in EvE.
EvE was not meant to be a fluffy "safe" gaming experience.
