Oh no, not another one...
Quote: Remove t2 production and research from highsec posses and NPC stations. Limit t2 research/production to lowsec.
So the big alliances would have to move their T2 production into low-sec, where all the pirates and gankbears can more easily get at it?
This would only lead to the big alliances moving into low-sec. The age of the free-roaming pirate in low-sec would end very quickly and with much whining on the forums. Meanwhile, T2 costs would rise, at least until the alliances have secured their low-sec areas.
Quote: From an RP standpoint it might make sense only to allow development of t2 industrial techs in highsec but limit t2 development of a military nature (combat ships, weapons, munitions, ewar, cloaking) to lowsec.
Each and every T2 ship comes stamped with a certain NPC corp. It's free advertising and a bragging point for said corp. If those same corps would then be told that their latest creation would be banned from operating in hi-sec, they wouldn't bother making them. Your suggestion goes against current RP facts.
Quote: Give corporations the option of renting dedicated research and manufacturing slots along with corp office rentals in lowsec. This will allow smaller corps which can't necessarily defend posses to do some limited...research and production.
This is actually a good idea and needs further discussion. However, how well can it be implemented? How long should the rental period be? What happens when the rental period expires? How much does it cost? Finally, won't this just lead to more station-camping in low-sec, as pirates will know that there are (more) easy targets in stations with research slots?
Quote: Confine the rarer natural resources (i.e. rare minerals) to nullsec.
A plain 0.0-buff at the expense of a low- and hi-sec nerf, which won't benefit anyone except the big alliances. "Oh look, our space is becoming much more valuable, without any extra effort on our half. Thanks!"
Quote: Remove NPC stations from nullsec or make all stations in 0.0 conquerable to create a real difference in safety compared to lowsec.
For your idea to work out right, the amount of NPC stations in 0.0 would have to be increased many times over. 0.0 is huge, there aren't that many NPC stations out there to begin with. Those NPC stations come with a risk, you know.
Besides, I thought 0.0 already had a real difference in safety compared to low-sec. In 0.0, if you're in a blue alliance's homespace, you're about as safe as in hi-sec, if not safer. Show me any low-sec system that can offer even remotely the same amount of security.
Quote: Reduce overall reprocessing yield for modules (and eliminate recovery of rare mins) so there's a reason to mine in low-sec.
Emphasis added by me, to reveal the true nature of this nerf. The idea of this is to force players into low-sec, which just ain't gonna happen. The big 0.0 alliances will just use their secure trade routes to bring the high-end minerals into hi-sec...at exorbantly higher prices than before, of course. Meanwhile, low-sec would be as barren as before.
Quote: Increase BUFFER tank (and if applicable eliminate/reduce regenerative tank) for exhumers and haulers. This way they can't defend themselves against rats or piracy, but escorts will actually have time to prevent their destruction.
Oh sure, make the easiest target on the block even more defenseless. When a pirate gang jumps a mining op, the industrials are always the first ships to die. Because they're primary, without exception. Whatever escort they have is irrelevant. Please explain why anyone would want to mine/haul in unsafe areas after this nerf.
Your suggestions are the same pathetic tripe that almost every pirate and gankbear seems obsessed with these days. You want the whole game changed just to suit your playstyle, and never look at the whole picture. CCP would be fools to listen to the likes of you. |
