PC Gamer Sweden had a list matching this... I'll see if I can dig the mag out...
*runs salvager on room*
Let's see...
Mechwarrior can be found as freeware (check Fileradar.com) Command and Conquer is also freeware, as is Red Alert and SimCity 2000. Kings Quest 1 I believe can be found for free at AGDinteractive.com. The Kings Quest Collection (1-5) should be available in some places for like 10 bucks. Psychonauts can be purchased with a handful of pocket change, which is ridiculous. X-COM: UFO Defence can be found cheap on Steam. The Longest Journey and its sequel Dreamfall are also on Steam for nearly nothing - great adventure games. I believe Deus Ex can also be found on Steam. Homeworld 1&2 should be available cheap. Check online retailers. Also look for the Baldurs Gate series - seriously. Thief Collection is cheap these days, if you're hot for shadows. I'm not a tactical shooter guy, but I've heard that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is good, also cheap. Quake. Nuff said. Check Steam. Splinter Cell Collection might be fun. Company of Heroes can be found on Steam. Half-Life: Source is a remake of Half-Life (also dirt cheap) in the HL2 Source Engine. It's on Steam. I've heard that Tomb Raider: Anniversary is available for cheapz. Unreal Anthology is a nice collection of classics. Fahrenheit is a great modern adventure game with excellent storytelling. Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete is good for people ready to sacrifice 70% of their waking life on the bloody altar of strategy. It's good. DOSBox. Not a game, but good if you're planning to play old games. It's a DOS-emulator, essentially. Good for lots of stuffs. Diablo II. Or Dibbe, as it's known in my hood. Starcraft: Battle Chest. Old Skool Strategiez. Kekekeke. Mafia. If you can find it, buy it. It's an awesome story in a great game. The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. Good if you like Massively Singleplayer Offline. Fallout Collection. Play it. I think Fallout 1 is freeware these days.
There, that should keep you occupied for a while. Also: I mentioned Deus Ex above, meaning that dozens of people will end up having to reinstall it. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

Master of Orion 2 - free trial + last patch = FREE full game, without cinematics ( = infinity^2 value for your buck). G.O.G. - pretty much almost everything from their line-up. Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri (and expansion) - available online for less than 15$ each

Never played them, but free is better than $20. And from the legit source. _______

You could get Bionic Commando Rearmed. Classic side-scrolling action with updated graphics. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |
