One thing I find frustrating is the almost total lack of useful combat sound events. This is a true oversight IMHO. I would like to request that the following sound events be considered for implementation into EVE Online. These are only a few that I've thought up myself but I am sure that others may have more sound events to be considered as well. Thank you CCP.
My Sound Event Recommendations:
Battlestations: Your ship is under attack! Warning: Your ship is currently webbed/warp scrambled! Warning: Your Drones are under attack! Shield Breached: Status is at 75%/50%/25%/10% Armor Breached: Status is at 75%/50%/25%/10% Structure Breached: Status is at 75%/50%/25%/10% Ship's Capacitor Status is at 75%/50%/25%/10% Launcher/Turret Ammo Low Warning Alarm (Either hard coded to around 10% or allow ability for it to be player set)
My recommendation is that warnings be set to only sound off once upon reaching the set threshold unless value has again risen above previous setpoint; at which time, it would then resound the warning upon dropping below setpoint again. Also recommend allowing players the ability to enable/disable individual warnings as desired.

The webbing is not that much of a problem, but the warp scrambling... A red border around the speed indicator could do that one. Also, Aura could actually say something like "Warp drive offline". I heard her say "Warp drive active" that often, there's no way of counting that... --- "Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind." -Terry Pratchett |

This has nothing to do with this being a perceived problem nor do we need yet another visual indicator staring us in the face. That is one of the annoyances with the EVE UI; in that, there are far too many visual indicators and nowhere near enough audibles. I'm sure many an EVE player has watch their fair share of Sci-Fi shows and movies to know that the c÷ckpit and bridge of most all space vessels have a lot of both visual and audible indicators as to the condition of the ship and any battle conditions that the ship may be involved in. There are a few audibles that are useless; yet, there they are but the really useful and important ones are curiously missing. ...

I agree, the UI is still quite primitive, and part of increased user-friendliness would be more warnings about things happening to your ship. Aura saying "Warp drive offline" would be a great addition.
