A long shot, but...
Does anyone have a HTC Touch HD yet?
I was thinking of upgrading my TyTn II, but I am not sure if I can live without the physical keyboard, and internet connection sharing.
Anyone got it?

I quite like the look of the Touch HD myself, very nice features all around. I have the TyTn II on T-Mobile (I think it's called Vario III) which, while boasting a pretty good spec on paper, has been a bit of a pain in the past. The screen or OS freeze on occasion, selecting multiple messages at once doesn't always work and it bugs me that they switched 'New' and 'Delete' between the soft-key and menu between the TyTn and the TyTn II (now takes 4 button presses and navigating a menu to make a new message instead of 1).
Also, until I bought the Mugen extended battery (3,000 mAh) the battery life was shocking. Checking the standard battery that comes with the HD, I can't imagine it lasting very long with even light-normal usage. The extended batt extends life to what I would consider should be normal, but also extends the back of the phone out by about 4-5mm (comes with new back cover). I've had all three Varios now (Blue Angel, Wizard, TyTn II) and wasn't so impressed with the 2nd upgrade as I was with the first.
What do you mean live without ICS? They removed it from the Touch HD? It's part of Windows Mobile 6 I believe and don't see why it wouldn't still be available. -------------

Yeah, reading into it, WM6 has ICS, so all good.
I used to have m3100 (HTC Hermes), moving to TyTn II (HTC Kaiser). Never needed an expanded battery as I've rarely used WiFi and 3G.
And yeah, Physical keyboard pwns :D Currently trying to convince a colleague to go to the dark side and get a Touch HD as well (I can't upgrade until April).

I can't comment much about the HTC Touch HD, because i haven't tested it.
But i read lots of places that the phone is very slow though. I just readed that from a norwegian forum where a guy just had tested it.
Here is a translated version of the post. Google Translate is used, and remember, some words might not be translated and the translation it self might be bad.
Here is the link: LINK.
So if you like fast mobile phones or smartphones, then HTC Touch HD might be a bad choice.
