Hello folks, after a fair while since I patch I have to say I havent noticed a change in the types of ships used much. Blaster boats still pwn, the ranis is in fact now widely considered the best ceptor, HAC's are still used a lot in pvp both in empire and 0.0.
So what about all the threads telling us the world's end was nigh? were you wrong, if so fess up. Or maybe its delayed reaction and the game doesn't suck quite yet ..

Yeah, that or..
The taranis still does the same anti-intie role it always has, and still is pretty crap for anything but that. Blasterboats are nerfed and hurting, but have a decent bunch of pilots that know what their doing and there's a ton of cookiecutter pilots that havn't yet been instructed to this months flavour and hence are not running around like the hens they are(since they can no longer RUN after QR) but are sitting ducks. Luckily, sitting ducks is what blasterboats do best. Parrots, commence!

If you haven't noticed a change in ships, you should pay more attention. Merin gets T2 Pulses in 18 hours, 44 minutes, 30 seconds, and will be trading her obsolete Cerberus for a shiny new Zealot. -----------

Well, I've noticed that the Cerberus is about as far from obsolete as a ship can possibly be.

I finished that skill myself not too long ago. I still like my Cerberus though. It's like a caracal only with 86% more awesome. And the thing I used my cerb for (anti-nano work) can handily be translated to anti frigate anything. I'm not terribly happy about the performance of the Heavy Missiles of late, but then again the performance is up on those for the most part. It went from roughly zero damage per missile to at least a hundred or so on most ships.

Edited by: Letifer Deus on 03/12/2008 00:19:19 I've watched the gangs I'm in slowly go from a mix of megathrons and armas/abaddons to usually only armas/abaddons. So yeah, I would say I've seen change. The only place I run into many megas/hyps is station/gate camps, which is really the only place they now make a lot of sense.not surprising. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Brought to you by the letter ARRR!" |

I was eating some wretched fast food item with a spork. If there is a spork it implies the existance of both a spoon and a fork. Or some sort of crazy person who has no idea how to forge a proper eating utensil.

I saw this piece of "art" once, and it contained the text: "Sporks out of space kindle the earth for fruition."
Never could figure out WTF that meant.
Or was it "sparks"?
Oh, and yeah. Blasterboats are hurting now. I hate my f@#%ing mega, but it's the only BS I can fly with T2 guns. Can't wait for Large Energy Turret 5.

I'm actually somewhat amused about all the whining.
How often have I been told "Why do you train Amarr? They suck! CCP will never unnerf them!" years ago?

Amarr never got "unnerfed", everything else just got nerfed so now Amarr is where they should have been years ago, or maybe a tad above, but hey, that's just getting back for all the years we had to suffer.
I see posts about nerfing Amarr, and honestly, I want to slam them across the face with a piece of heavy mining equipment. Finally Amarr gets to shine after years of taking crap and flames from everyone. -------------------------------------------------- "Every complex problem has a solution which is easy, neat and wrong!" |
