They have no corp tax and corp politic bs, just a small group who know each other properly, for idle chat and to pvp together time to time. That's all I can ever really want.
I hate huge corps and alliances.

Seriously, Kim jog Il, with small corps and missiles not working the way you want them, I'd suggest WoW.

if it didnt cost 1 billion and have monthly charges that need to be paid... there probably would be loads of 1man alliances :) ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

The corp I am in has 5 members + alts and there is nothing wrong with it. We have all known eachother for probably over a year and a half now and we have the option of recruiting new folks but it's not something were bothered about, have a good group of friends and nothing else matters.
You sir, should catch the next bus back to wow.

I just hate pulling up an office list for a station and getting 95% bull****!
Requirements for a corp should be minimum 10 men. Anything smaller should be classified as something else (squad, brigade, waste-of-time, etc.) and not allowed to have offices, declare war, or most anything else a corp does.
And that's the bottom line! Cause Napro said so!

There are plenty of one man alliances out there, and the billion isk can be made easily by a trader who has some idea of what he is doing. Monthly charge of 2 mill isk to keep the alliance active is probably easily made doing a level 3 mission.

Despite being a big bag of lulz when you get a 1 man corp deccing someone else and murdering them all, you do raise interesting points, you've fought off my desire to troll you somewhat. I say we see where this goes.
Edit: Oh OP, just wanted to also say, the most usual request by me and others to fix what you talk about somewhat was to change the cost of creating a corp from the 2 mill or whatever it was atm to 100 million. Therefore only having seriousbusiness people make corps and also acting as a good isk sink.

AND
40,000 Corporations / 2 per Alliance = 20,000 Alliances.

I can top that! My one man (plus alt) corp had a 100% tax rate, not only for the reason you outlined, but also to deter anyone else wanting to put in random apps. Of course, if they DID want to join, they could be accepted, hopefully run a few missions before they realised what was going on...
EDIT - and to answer the OP - because most bigger corps aren't actually worth a damn if I can do what I want to do for myself, or with just a couple of friends.
