I want to see the whole process, preferably with you getting through the gatecamp, cloaking after the gate, warping to a moon if needed, and all that. Yes, there are plenty of guides, and crappy low res utube videos for this out there, but I want to SEE this in action, not GUESS the stuff that I couldn't see or understand from reading. I want a video that is clear enough for me to see you moving your mouse and controlling your ship.
I know this is probably a "strange" request, but if someone is willing to record a video with fraps or another program for me, I'd be very grateful. If you can do this free, - great. If not, I am willing to pay, as long as your price is reasonable. Thanx very much in advance.
I would prefer that you use a ship other than a blockade runner or a covert ops/black ops as these ships are specialized for these things and make the process somewhat easier. Still, if you MUST use one of these, it will do as well.

lol dude, try it yourself or let your corp mates show it if they are able to.
But keep in mind you will never get a good pilot if you just copy what others do, you have to develop your own sense for certain situations

Well, I knew I'd get laughed at for this, but I see nothing shameful about asking for this favor.

And you should feel that way, after all it's a request, not a demand. However I must agree with the other reply, as the best way to learn how to do something is to try it yourself. You won't become a piano virtuoso by listening to Beethoven, even if he is really good at playing it.

FYI, Moons are the LAST thing you ever want to warp to unless you are absolutely sure you are in a blue sov system. Even then friendly fire incidents still sometimes occur from POS guns.

You can only go so far in explaining how to deal with things like gate camps or gangs chasing you down. every camp is different and getting through them is about experience, situational awareness, and luck. there is no magic "do x to blow through a gate camp." solution.
when you land in a bubble just stay calm and use the time before you de-cloak to decide how you intend to get out, some times you get a no-win but if you take a second to think about it you can usually slip through (or at least burn back to the gate). Go out and try it in cheap frigs, maybe even noob ships, set up with istabs or w/e to get a feel for it. it might cost you a little isk but you cant really put a price on being able to move around in relative safety in hostile territory.
p.s. bringing friends is always a good idea.

Bud Johnson has some good advice.
There really is no set way to escape a gate camp. In my experience, often times you can't.
Make a suicide alt, don't bother training anything and just head for the closest 0.0 space in your noob ship. Or you can do what I did, get a jump clone without any implants and a cheap T1 frig and just try it for a few weeks.
You will learn magnitudes more by simply trying and failing with minimal risk/loss than you ever will by not trying. Pre-analysis can only prepare you so much.
As for using non-specialized blockade runners, I wouldn't. That is one of those lessons you need to learn. Either fly in a gang, fly with a scout, or fly a blockade runner, anything else is a sure loss.

It's a sensible request, but a video wouldn't teach you anything unless the person shooting would also explain in intricate detail why she did what she did. If that person managed to run into opposition in the first place.
I'll repeat the advice of the above posters, just for emphasis: just do it. Fly out there, get popped, then asked some more veteran people how you could have done it better and try again. You'll find your own style this way, and it's more fun to boot.

Learn the cloak+mwd trick, master it. It will help out a lot.
If you're just running pipe, I like to use a stabber fitted:
[Stabber, Pipe runner] Warp Core Stabilizer II Warp Core Stabilizer II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II
Prototype Cloaking Device I 'Arbalest' Assault Missile Launcher, Firefly F.O.F. Light Missile I 'Arbalest' Assault Missile Launcher, Firefly F.O.F. Light Missile I [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Warrior II x1
You need to know when you can breakout, and when you should probably head back to the gate. To do this you need to know what all the ships in the camp are capable of and what you can take, etc. Count the points and see if you can burn past the heavy hitters and drag the inties far away enough to just warp off.
Really though, just practice. Do it in Rifters until you can just laugh at gatecamps.

My advise on this is: If u go on your own, use a frigate and run the pipe watching local at all time and the intel chanels. If your corp is well stablished in 0.0 they might be able to jump your ships to the home system or scout you in the pipe. Like other say there are not certain way to get this done. If it is your first time do it in a small fast frigate like a condor or some like that. That way u can have the feel of a ).0 pipe full of reds and Neutrals trying to kill you . Treat Neutrals same way you treat Reds. When you jump and there is a Blue camp salute them 0/, they will help you later in the game some time. Most inportant and i cant stop telling you this watch local and intel chanels they are our best friend. HGope i help a bit here

Thanx very much guys.
I do have jump clones trained to level 3 and I can use a proto cloak. Might as well try it I guess... I wasn't asking about this stuff because I need stuff moved out to 0.0 (although this might be needed in the future) I was trying to learn the art of flying through gatecamps because I want to feel free to do what I want in 0.0 be it ratting, ninja salvaging, trading or whatever else.
Hope no one minds if I'll message them for advice ingame.... (promise not to be annoying ;) )

I'll gladly make that video for you, if ofcourse the financial bit is covered. Hell, if you give me enough, i'll even check to see if i can find a gatecamp and try to show how i usually get out.

I'd be willing to make the video doing this in a frigate. The cost will be $20 Million ISK.
(Note, that is the cost of 100 fitted frigates -- 100 frigates you could lose learning to do it yourself.)
Contact me in game if you'd like the video or if you'd like a guide as you do it yourself.

Just do what i did :
well yesteday i made an alt, gave him an amarr frigate, set destination somewhere in the north from empire, about 66 jumps. (a while ago i made the same trip to the south, to see one of ascn outpost... well i saw it, i saw ascn people too, they pop my little shutle and send me back to empire lol)
So here i come with my frigate : Warp to zero, travel long time without seing anyone, except corpses all around.. and then past first gate camp with bad pirates. Dont remember their names because it was scary lol.
I survive because i appear outside of their bubble, but i want to believe i survive because of my great t1 frigate noob skills lol.
but then about 10 more jumps away, got BBQ by Rawr lol, not sure of their name but my little ship got gank. I mean come on, where is the diplomacy lol, well i survive at least 10 sec...
O well ill try it again .

try using your map to find a route around them whenever possible. just set color stars by to ships in space or exploded in the last hour and camps tend to stick out like a sore thumb.

why even bother trying to get thru to 0.0 ... Tribute is home of MM "Morsus Mihi" ... theyll kill any neut war neg targets in their region without warning "mostly"
if u wanna come to a 0.0 region simply try an apply to a corp that has 0.0 access and wait and see what happens better of at that imo instead of becoming shishkebab everytime. ------------------

Notify: You have been added to my list of favourite eve players.
Reasons: - Bringing more clueless carebears like yourself to 0.0 to shoot - Reminding me of the tick-tock guy (forgot his name :(( - Quality use of quoting symbols
Regards, Rhak
Oh, and to the OP: Just try it for yourself in a frig fitted with MWD. When you feel comfortable running camps in it, try a frig with AB to get a feeling on how to run camps somewhat slower. It's not that hard. And you will also realize that you can evade most camps, and that 0.0 is terribly empty.

I believe CVA space is open to all non-reds .. They operate on a Not Red Dont Shoot (called NRDS) Policy. Most 0.0 alliances operate on a NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It) and will kill anything without standings.
A lot of camps also will not even bother with shuttles and frigs. Best to do what others have said. Get a cheap frig (rifter, probe, etc) and go for it.

I could do it in my pod on autopilot, some places just never really have any camps. Or if you do it 1 min after downtime there is rarely any camps anywhere.
Your request just doesn't make any sense as it can be done in many ways that you would learn absolutely nothing from. ____________________________________________________ Reality is for those who have no imagination. |

A video will probably not help you that much, as the most important part, having an alt scout ahead in a frigate or noobship wont be in it
Feel free to send me any amount of isk you deem appropriate...
