Oh wait, the same as on the official boards. Yeah, there are some good ideas there, and at least as many bad ones. The emorage and drama is no different there than it is here, the mods are just more strict and the content more organized...
I suggest that once you get some ideas on how to make solid fits, start fitting your gangs to be interdependent. There's a lot you can do when everyone fits for a role rather than everyone fitting to be a jack of all trades and a master of none.
Oh - and don't dismiss buffered+remote rep cruiser gangs out of hand. *ahem*arbitratorsandvexors*ahem*
Good luck with your fight.

Standard options in this kind of a situation (probably most posted already):
1. Make them bored. Fly clever (do not autopilot, fit for travel, move in fast ships, use scouts, stay aligned, dock when you see them on local, etc etc), ignore their smacktalk, relocate if you can. Griefer attention span is about 1-2 weeks, so you likely won't even have to do it for long. Ignore the people who say that you should pvp because it is about pvp. Denying your enemy what they want is a valid tactic in pvp. Avoiding them so that they do not achieve what they want is not you being a coward, it is you winning. Fighting when you have no chance is not brave, it is stupid.
2. Use this as an opportunity to learn to fight. Do not try to do this on your own, you will get murdered, but get someone to teach you. Options for a teacher are, in order of isk: some experienced players currently bored who will join you and teach you, an antigriefer corporation/alliance who will dec them (you might have to pay the dec cost) and let you fly with them, mercs who are willing to teach you as well as gank them.
Most important thing is to pick one or the other, and then stick to it.
Options generally not worth considering:
1. Paying them. 2. Paying someone else if that someone else is not also willing to let you fly with them.
You will be decced again some day. You will need to learn to defend yourself, and since there is always bigger fish, preferably you should know both how to avoid people and how to fight back. -- Help us defend the Republic; join Gradient today. |
