My idea is to Remove Ships both Player and NPC from Overview.
Why would i propose something like this?
1. It would allow ships to hide shadows, behind structures.
2. Change tactical plans for fleets and make it possible for the lone wolf to triumph in 2 vs 1 scenario's if He/She's cunning without friends.
3. Would let CCP add new module that could work like a Radar to find all ships within 'example range: 25km-50km-75km-100km
4. Would be a minor step towards fast-phased action though true 'Hide & Seek' would be a Defensive action.
How stuff would played out? Obviusly, the smaller ship you fly, the harder it is to visualize. The bigger? Well you spot a ***** miles away anyway 'Size' matters.
Say i flew a Cruiser in Low sec only to get cought by 2 other Cruiser's. I sucessfully shake them off but knowing their right on my ass and want my goo. I dive down behind a Astroid, Moon or Structure, now i got time to call my friends to either help me get out or Fight back in more even numbers, or i can just re-think my strategy while the whole thing / feeling is more Real than watching a Station / Gate / Belt.. those 3 points gets so boring.
In addition; Said idea would also make it ideal for slight immersion of planetoids or whatever kind Pluto is now, not a planet but something less. These small planet things could be filled with Craters that we actually could Hide in. Some maybe big enough for a Carrier to hide in.
Imagine the epic Scenario's this could deliver. |

I propose this is a more clear and concise manner. Only I don't remove this ships from overview because of the additional computational overhead

Haha Bluudwolf - Just want the X when you click on Weapon to be meaningfull as ctrl > click overview removes the point of having X-lines unless extreme rare situation. Also i do like you hide :) If it should take X amount to get a damned skill to V - Why not hide in 'Space' instead of Station for some days deep in null/low playing Hide and Seek, it would be like Chess with internet spaceships. I liked the goonie's link though. Smexy.
Also the crater thing, just watched a poor movie called Wing Commander. Thats where the inspiration where found. Who would't love Torpedo/Bombing craters to find their sexy target? And who would't love the nervous feeling of ''Will the shell flush me out?' '
Almost like Orbital Bombardment seen at Fanfest but with Long Range / Bombs only (That includes arties! yay) And if this were implented, you had to look at your 360 constantly if in low sec. Don't forget to look up and down too! IT would been a mess i would soak up tons of entertainment from. |

I think it would be a good idea to be able to hide behind and not shoot through large space objects. I would also like to have two overview windows, one for aggressive targets and the other for others.
