I know that this would seem to lessen the value of LP, but what if you need that little bit of extra ISK for... whatever. maybe you don't make it a sellable item on the market, but only via contract or direct in station trades. that way, you can negotiate exactly what you think its worth...

People will sell it for what they think is right, if you want more isk for your junk, find someone who's willing to buy it.

Edited by: ShadowDraqon on 10/12/2008 17:49:16 This already is happening, you buy items in the LP store then sell them via contracts. --- Player Deadspace: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=940302 Multiplayer missions: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=944091 |

yeah, I get that, but lets cut out a step, and be able to sell the LP directly to the other player for ISK.

You can already do that by talking to people who trade but don't run missions and would like your LP. Just need to find them in convo. You sell them your LP by basically selling them certain LP store items at a certain ISK/LP, then they turn around and put those items on the market to get their profit out of it. It takes some work, but it's available to you. If you really don't want to do much work, just convert your LP to whatever faction ammo sells best in your general area trade hub, and sell that.
Still, it's not a bad idea to be able to contract LPs directly in contracts as a commodity.

well, say I'm close to being able to get some item, but I don't want to run anymore missions. I'd rather just put out some ISK to get the remaining LP I need.
Or maybe I've been running missions for someone and have just spent most of the LP I had earned. But now I'm done working for them, I'm moving on to work for some other corp. I'd be able to sell the LP I have to someone else, instead of it just sitting there doing nothing.

When you think about LP, its how much a corporation likes YOU... can you transfer someone's loyalty to you to a third party? ç¦ |

well.. actually, yeah you can... if you have a friend that likes you.. (usually trust is also implied in a friendship) they'll trust you enough to a certain degree to trust someone you recommend to them. But unless you're setting them up with a nice dinner date.. they probably arent going to pay you to get to know your friend better
I would support transfer of lp from one person at a reduced rate under this guise... like for every 100 lp transferred you lose 10 or something like that..
though this brings a thought of recommending a corpmate to a corporation so the corpmate can work with a higher level agent.. and if they mess up the missions, you take a standing hit too for referring them.... hrmmm...
oh.. /thread hijacking

...OK, let's say that we transfer our LP's of specific NPC corp like Royal Khanid Navy(RKN) in to RP(Recommendation Point's :P) that we can story in our cargo hold like some normal item. We can set them on contract, to let someone bay them from us - he may use them to transfer them back to LP of RKN corporation or other NPC corporations - according to friendly/enemy standing's of RKN; and that determined real value of RP, because RKN doesn't hew highest standing's to all of they friendly corp's. So once 100LP = 90LP second 100LP = -100LP
When i reading it second time it's sound like huge nerf
