Am i the only one that thinks the recent CCP raid on cheats isn't going to result in a huge increase in t2 prices?
The only thing we know is there were people banned, gear destroyed and beer had by all of CCP as a pat on the back for the bust. what we don't know is how much the banned players effected the prices of t2 gear. that makes me wonder if all of this hype about t2 prices to go through the roof soon is just bs.
Think about it, these guys were found to be cheating the system, nothing more. just becuase they were producing stuff that shouldn't have existed doesn't mean they were trying to sell their stuff cheaper. if they were all in on it then w hy not set a price to keep things stable and bring in a steady flow of isk? why bother with bidding wars?
with alchemy theres a way to fill that void created by the bust so its unlikely for the prices to go spiraling out of control. if anything the prices will increase a bit but level out quickly. if anything do some math, calculate the isk it would take to produce the rare moon mins using alchemy then add 10%. adjust the price of t2 gear using that mineral by the difference of the moon mins harvested and the alchemy produced mins.
ill be surprised if t2 parts go up 10% in price because of the vacuum. look at what happened to the prices of t2 gear when invention was introduced. im sure we are going to see a similar change in the price of rare moon mins, at worst the price will be stable.
all the bust will do is encourage players to get into alchemy sooner rather then later. considering how many poses probably went up because of invention, id say the infrastructure exists to rapidly stabalize the prices of anything the cheaters were producing.
those on a buying spree won't likely see much of a profit. id be willing to go so far as to say they are going to get screwed in the end just like some did with datacores when they got a slight change. remember 5mil for a mechanical core? basically id suggest NOT buying into the hype.

The price rise in Jita has nothing to do with increased build costs atm, since the stuff is dropping out of the factorys for the price we paid weeks/month ago for the advanced materials/comps. I think most manufacturer have a big reserve in materials/comps, at least i can run my production for 2-3 month without buying anything. But anybody will jump on that train and try to sell their stuff for more, at least i will do it . An if the price drops down the standard 0.01 ISK, it will took a while, till the prices has settled again. Especially for ships, because everybody could only speculate about the impact of the exploit.
