I'll go out on a limb here but... how about all the armor skills? Parrots, commence!

And needless to say, all to level 5 if you're only going to ever armor tank everything.

Open character sheet.
Click on Certificates.
Click on Open Certificate Planner.
Click on Defence.
Find all certificates called something with Armor.
Train accordingly, until you have Elite certificates.

On a related note, are the armour compensation skills worth it if you're running an active tank? The bonus seems really to be geared towards passive tanking from what I see?

I would also suggest training energy systems operation V, and energy management V.
Not armor skills per se but they are vital to your tank.

i've not played for about 7 months (hooray for 5 free days!) but iirc they buff your passive resist on in-active hardeners, right?
since the point of active tanking is very much about running your hardeners all the time, i'd suggest they're not particularly useful. even when you're capped out and the hardeners fail i still can't see +5% resists saving you in anything but the most marginal situations.
then again, after you'd trained all the useful active armour skills to v it is the next logical place to go.
trimarks, plates, eanm & damage control used to virtually require them to be trained.
