Why do people use 1mn T2 MWDs at all? The catalyzed cold gas has the same speed but lower cpu, lower pg and the lower cap usage more than makes up for the measly 2% cap capacity difference. Oh, and they're a lot cheaper too.
I dun get it.
Come to think of it, why does anyone buy a lot of T2 that are inferior to best named?

In my personal case, I'm just a teensy bit obsessive-compulsive, and feel better if my ship has a T2 armor plate fitted to it even knowing Tungsten is better in every possible way.

That would make you pretty stupid then, no offense.

No, it doesn't make him stupid at all, it simply means that he could have some form of OCD.

The MWD uses less cap when it's on. The T2 MWD has a 2% lower cap difference all the time. Sometimes that's worth the fittings tradeoff. -- 249km locking? |

Its not really worth it on frigates, but on cruisers and above - where you have ships/setups that will not be orbiting on MWD, just using to get to range - the T2 is worth it, in said situations.
At BS level it might buy you as much as 1 minute extra cap before you need to inject.
On frigates, yeah, pretty pointless.
As an aside, I heartily support any boost to T2 armor plates, and this is no way related to me owning a BPO of said items.

Well, although RT plates are better, you can't exactly start building your very own RT plates.

Yes, I wish people would get the catalyzed > 1mn T2 thing through their head. I own...quite a few and want them sold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Brought to you by the letter ARRR!" |

Overheating capacity is the same on a catalyzed as a T2 as well
Catalyzed thrusters are better for ships that rely on running an mwd (like inties). Otherwise a T2 is better if your just going to be pulsing it to get in range.
