If were talking ships I was personally going to fly - the Falcon (it's dull). If were talking ships other people fly in a gang the Pilgrim would be at the top of the list.

They're all pretty tachy, and "in order" does top to bottom least like to fly then? Or Prefer to fly?
Anyway, from top to bottom Want to fly to will never fly. 1.Pilgrim 2.Rapier 3.Arazu 4.Falcon
Then again, I tend to fly solo and not blob, so the list wouldn't apply if I did.

Arazu Arazu Arazu ... Arazu Rapier Pilgrim
No wait, rapiers and pilgrims still serve a purpose other than KM whoring :p Unfortunately, I'm stick in the arazu for the time being.

Depends on the type of pvp for example if solo work I would not take the falcon as it can't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag

Arazu Pilgrim Rapier Falcon
All of these ships are very useful to have along, it's just that some are more useful than others. Will I take an Arazu pilot? Heck yea. Would I have him fly a falcon instead if he could? See previous answer.

Thoroughly stupid topic and poll.
If the title was "What ships would you most want in your gang", you may have been more successful.
I would much rather fly a Rapier, Arazu, and Pilgrim before getting into Falcon. I want to fly the fun stuff, and I want my corp mates to fly the falcons to save my butt.

all depends on what I am doing. arazu can be quite useful for mission busting. oh look I can point you at 50km, and you can't lock me back (or w/e it is)
although for general pirate use, the falcon, it is the only one that will operate on a lowsec gate.
pilgrim is sexy, now if only lowsec belts were worth visiting. although it can help out the previously mentioned arazu quite nicely. ravens have great tanks with no cap
raiper, well there have been a few times I wish I had one in gang. but hey they don't stand up to gate guns so well. I don't like flying in gangs where I can spider tank it well enough to have it sat there though. now in 0.0 I can see the rapier being much more useful.

Rapier Arazu Pilgrim
You have no point.
For solo pvp i would not even consider the falcon while the other 3 are quite effective at such.
For gang pvp the falcon is most effective in a gate camp situation that allows them to operate at long range, while the rapier, pilgrim and arazu are also effective in certain capacities in gate camps at closer ranges.
In roaming gangs that may need to jump into camps the falcon has a rather large bulls eye painted on it while most of the others may not be such a high priority depending on the other ships you have in the gang.

From the last choice to the first:
For gang work:
Pilgrim Falcon/Rapier/Arazu (the choice is dependent of the rest of the gang, and in a very small gang the Pilgrim enters the fight)
For solo:
Falcon Rapier Arazu Pilgrim

Edited by: P''uck on 18/12/2008 18:37:56 I wonder what you gonna use rapiers for these days... I mean... from over here it looks like everybody can catch everybody without specialized webbers, anyway, and TP'ing can only do so much... as gang size increases it doesnt matter if you can kill stuff that much faster.
Or have sig radius mechanics changed so much?

Edited by: Myra2007 on 18/12/2008 18:43:53 tl;dr:
edit: my list is from most useful to least useful - just to be clear
1. Falcon 2. Arazu 3. Rapier (maybe a tie with arazu - not sure) 4. Pilgrim
Falcon - well what's to say? Its devastating if you have it and its devastating if you don't have any. Curse with td's is also nice but its still not comparable mostly because you can not only shut down turret dps but anything that requires a lock (i.e. missile dmg, rr, tackle). Its pwnage in unparalleled magnitudes.
Arazu is still a very fine ship for small gangs imo. Its very underrated because people can't or don't want to forget the time when damps were a really strong ewar. But arazu has great tackling ability, okish dps and damps can still prove useful (be it to damp a single target for safe tackling or in conjuction with ecm to prolong locking times - very useful against big ships especially). Tackling is so underrated that i wonder how people actually do kill stuff.
Rapier is okis imo. Webs are still needed so it is an useful asset just like arazu. But it just lacks the second "special" ability. Arguably tp's got a boost with qr so one might think about fitting them. Still its only third place behind arazu but its close.
Pilgrim is nice for mission busting or a bit of solo roaming thats about it imo. In a gang it is virtually useless compared to the curse. And its still a flying coffin because of the low operation range. --

Even if i had the skills, I wouldn't fly any of these, well maybe the Pilgrim when the corp is asleep and you want to solo in low sec. Seriously though, fly a HAC. _______________________________ "Nothing succeeds like excess" -Oscar Wilde |

Force Recons have a much higher survivability than any HAC thanks to EWAR and cloaking. HACs usually only have speed, which isn't always enough.

If there were just 3 of us, I would use all the ships besides the Falcon. However in a larger gang, Falcon would be the first choice.

This. The quote that comes immediately to mind is someone a while ago referring to falcons as "the fun police"

Did a recon small gang yesterday: rapier, arazu and pilgrim. Holy crap that combo rocks.
So, combine these ships, and you want to fly all of them, except maybe, the falcon. Falcon is boring.

My vote, in order. Rapier Arazu Pilgrim
Pfft. Arazu is just fine.
Roaming gang with HACs as DPS dealers with rapier, pilgrim, falcon and arazu support is just purely devastating to anything they encounter, well except titan.
Combined fleet always pwn's fleet of FOTM's.

Hopefully I won't de-rail the thread too much but...
Has anyone found the arazu to be particularly more pwnful now or not ? There was much talk of this before the nerf, but I havne't heard anything about the actual effect.
