Been out of game for over a year so I dont have a feel for the new T3 BCs yet. I want to buy a tier 3 battlercruiser BPO but I would like sales to be brisk. Can anyone opine on what the most popular one is. Since I will be selling these in the Rens/Hek area the Tornado comes to mind but I'm not sure. |

Open market window, go to the "Browse" tab, select "Ships" then "Battlecruisers" then "Standard Battlecruisers". Examine market graphs for each under that heading. The bars at the bottom of the graph represent market movement (for more precise detail hit the "Show table" button).
Doing this we can see that 300-500 or so tornados pass through Jita every day (more popular in recent weeks). To do this for other BCs in other regions, click appropriate buttons whilst located in region of your choice. |

Not worth it. Currently, assuming you buy the minerals, you only make a few million per ship profit. You would be better off with a cane bpo. |

I already have a researched Cane BPO. And I don't have to buy any of the high sec minerals so I make a decent profit.

Do the math. If you sell the tornadoes, you will make about 1 mil profit over selling the minerals alone. If the, bpo costs 350 mil you need to sell 350 ships before you see a profit. You are better off finding any item with a higher profit margin. Still, it's a sandbox, play as you like. Me personally, I know there are better, more profitable items to produce. |

The minerals are still worth the same amount of ISK regardless of their source. Your cost to produce a ship likewise doesn't change no matter where you got the minerals. |

I believe the issue here is a miner with excess industrial capacity such that he will suffer no opportunity costs by placing any single print into production. Since production will not be constant, nor will the volume be such as to generate a production bottleneck, the question becomes what BPO can be used to transform the minerals (the thing time and effort is being put into and the main generator of profit) such as to yield the highest percentage value added.
The answer is, well whatever it is it probably isn't ships. |

Jas is correct.
If it's a lot of minerals, try freighters or else tornados.

Profit? Yea I want profit. But you're missing the part where its fun to own a lot of ship BPO's. I like to build lots of ships. I like to have fun in EVE....not participate in an economics class. Remember fun? Some of you sound like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. |

If it is about what you define as fun, why are you asking us the question? It's your own choice at that point. If owning all the bpos is your goal, yes the tornado is a good addition. Still, to some of us, making the best profit is fun. We remember that feeling well because we do it everyday.

Tier 3 BCs have a better ISK/m3 ratio. If people produce these where minerals are cheap they may be a better choice than a cane. |
