Sadly, I've reached my max of user's contract I can block. Is there a way to increase that max of 80?

are you trying to block all of the spammers and scammers? If you can't look at a contract and tell that it is a scam then maybe you shouldn't be using contracts. ------------------------------------

Yeah, sure that any player have time to waste to check a good amount of contracts or remember all scammers by themselves instead of using a good but limited feature.
Maybe the most unconstructive comment ever.
If Eve was less polluted by morons like that, the 250K account goal would be done since a while. ___________________

The Op has likely hit the 80 limit because of the exponential growth of bot spammers with their crappy transparent scams that has become a trend in recent months, and about which CCP seems reluctant to act.
Maybe they like the $15 a month too much, and as the isk generated by the bots (if any, it seems the same contract for a week at a time from the bots that now infest every trade hub) isnt something for nothing (someone, somewhere generated the isk through normal game mechanics) it doesn't impact the economy.
Not that things that impact the economy cause CCP to rush into fixing anything, ask any ferro-sploiting gel-pimp«.

No you cant increase it, CCP might (and should) increase it but other than that all you can do is go through block list, unblock them and free up space -----------------

I don't see the reason to flame the OP, he has a valid point. Why should he have to go through a bunch of crappy scam contracts to find what he needs, where instead he can block known scammers and make the job quicker and easier.
To those that flame, are you guys saying that you like to get spam email all the time as well? -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Actually, the troll brigade needs to get back under its jumpbridge and resume fapping to furry hentai.
He's got a point, he knows a scam because he has the cognizant ability to filter them using the block feature. The fact is, the contract system would be a helluva lot more useful if the system to filter the known bullsh!t were more expansive.
Personally, I'd love to be able just to turn "Want To Buy" orders off altogether, because I've NEVER seen one that's legit, and to be honest, there are so many in some areas, you can't find the decent contracts amongst the sea of utter ass-slime. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

Fortunately, he doesn't. The existing contract filters are already more than capable to weed out the scams — it's just a matter of learning how to set up your search.

And if you think that inspecting each contract every time you use the contracts system is easier than weeding out the scammers at source, you're an idiot. Are you suggesting that the ability to block contractors shouldn't exist at all because it panders to idiots?
Edit: Can't type. I'm an idiot.

Or perhaps learn to use your brain? As said before if you cant spot a scam contract you shouldn't be using them.

Ok... Learn to use your brain.
If the OP managed to use all 80 slots to block contract creators, there is a reason... Isn't it ?
It is because he found many contracts who was scam and so decided to block the user... Don't you think ?
If someone post a scam contract, he deserves no interest and must be blocked. At least this permit to waste less time the next time you try to find something in the contract system.
The real problem, is there is too much people who are abused by the scams. It wouldn't have so much scam contracts otherwise.
With a small search, it is easy to add 10+ more people in a row in the block feature. 80 is a relatively limited number, specialy as this feature is stored in the settings files, not in the server, so virtually there is no limitation.
Just that CCP decide to add one.
I am impressed how some players reject all faults on everyone who give bad points, but also on everyone who give good points, just to defend CCP... ___________________

Why do you think they`re called "community managers" instead of "moderators?"
As for the OP's topic: So many scams, we need some way to filter them out so they stop cluttering our contract searches.

well...
it DOES get annoying to have to shift though 5 pages of spam/scams to get to what you want....
it gets annoying when scams outnumber legit stuff 10 to 1....
hence why is nice to have block features that actually work...
