I got the same, plus some snippets of transmission instructing me to "contact masque or reaver" if I receive. Pilots by those tags do exist, but were not active when I could have contacted them. No idea if that meant them or something else, either.
I realize I might put them into risk by posting this publicly, but as I could not reach them, and the transmission sounded like Jude is in trouble, I do it hoping that someone else can reach him.

Sepherim clicks on the "yes" button while looking worried. This ressembled too much his own dissapearance, a year and a half ago, and ironically it was Jude who helped him reach a medical facility back then.

Hmmmm. Interesting and intriguing.
If any of your require assistance, I have several very skilled communications technicians who keep me in very long range contact with Venal.
I've instructed them to begin monitoring all general traffic and distress frequencies, and keep an eye on activity on a pretty large bandwidth to see if we can pick anything up.
If our technicians pick anything up, I'll be sure to pass it on. Please contact me if you feel the need for any other assistance.

Deep in the heart of the Thanatos class carrier 'Sexy Beast' Irongut floated in his capsule. The distress call was weak and although impossible to ascertain it's source it was obviously distant. Normally he would ignore it but the ID tags showed it was from someone he considered a friend. With a thought he sent a reply and then called up a map to plot a jump route back to Empire...

Sepherim was in the middle of a dinner with some representatives of the Ministry of Internal Order, discussing some issues related to the new directive of the Empress and her desire to free some slaves. And then, his second in command entered, looking worried.
-My Lord, I'm sorry to interrupt, but the recording has been decrypted.-
Sepherim excused himself, saying some important news had come from the frontlines, and headed outside with his bridge commander. Last he wanted was for the Ministry's agents to know he was investigating the dissapearance of a Caldari pod pilot. And yet, my hands were tied with this meeting, I couldn't do much more than frustrate myself while watching the translation.
-Very well, transmit these orders to the ship. You are to start searching for the origin of this recording, somewhere deep in space. You have a week to obtain it, so be quick. And get a couple of the Tiphareth of the Ordo to locate that Masque, or Reaver, whoever they may be. We will need them. Set this to third level priority. And set another Quaesitor to search around the merchant hubs and secondary stations, we need to know where he was seen last. Gate logs may be helpfull too if you can get some of our pilots to bribe one of the customs agents CONCORD has around them.-
I returned to the meeting dinner, but my mind was elsewhere. Little more than a week or Jude's time would have run out. It wasn't much, considering the size of the cluster.

As soon as she slipped out of bed, Kayleigh padded to the living room and checked on her datapad. Still no news. Or rather, the only message there was disheartening: her old Fed Navy agent in Sinq had not had any luck in tracing Jude's whereabouts.
The jin-mei sat on the couch, datapad half-forgotten in one hand as she lost herself in thought. Ever since the previous night, when she'd been contacted by Cosmo, of all people, she'd been getting her contacts looking into the mysterious incomplete message. No luck.
It was time to get out there herself. To call on the one person she had been unable to contact last night, even if she had to make a scene at the University of Caille until they told her where to find her friend. It was time to get Quintrala. Scuderia Caille was missing a pilot. With the both of them looking, who knew what they might find?
She tapped something on her datapad. Probes. She was going to need a lot of probes.

Our technical team have managed to lock down the burst transmission to a low range emergency broadcast FTL frequency usually reserved for automated distress beacons, and have managed to narrow the source down to a particular system.
Communication with a friend of our technical team working for the SOE has confirmed the beacon's serial number along with the fact it belongs to the vessel callsigned "Broken Angel", which they lost contact with eight days ago.
SOE have managed to pick up the wreckage of the vessel on long range scans, but have been unable to pinpoint it due to cosmic disturbance and electromagnetic interference.
I'm gonna head out personally to take a look at the location and see if I can scan down the wreckage with more accurate equipment. It's in a border regoin, unpatrolled, as such, for my own personal safety I won't reveal the potential location publically.
If anyone wants to help, please contact me via EveMail.

I'd like to announce that at roughly 21:00 Eve Standard Time tonight, I managed to track Mr Kopenhagen to the system of New Eden. Due to massive gravimetric distortion on scan results, finding him was somewhat hindered for an hour or so, but eventually the location of his damaged and malfunctioning capsule was pinned down.
With the outstanding assistance of Verin Hakatain who arrived soon after, and one of the most selfless and downright heroic acts of bravery I've seen in my life from one of his crewmen, his capsule was secured and towed to safety in patrolled Empire sovereign space.
All I will say is that reports suggest that he is stable and recovering, however I'll leave it to Mr Kopenhagen to explain his condition when he's able.

what do you mean the transmission is to weak, jack up our sensor strength, divert power from the shield relays and track it down, and i wanted it done yesterday. our sensors cant respond? Samson i hope u understand morose code because your sending a request response transmission back, try to raise that pod and tell this Mr. Jude Kopenhagen that his life support is dieing and to get back to a station. *helix walks out of the comm room*

Kayleigh finally breathed a little more easily as she made the final jump back into high-sec. She was out of probes, starting to second-guess herself at every minute. She needed a break but could not really take one. How much longer would Jude be out there, alive?
She engaged the autopilot and let the Melted fly her back to base while she browsed for any news whatsoever of Jude. Slanted grey eyes, dulled by long hours in space, opened wide and shone once more. The Veto people had found him. The jin-mei let out a long breath of relief.
She closed her eyes and let the little Helios fly her home. Jude was going to be alright.

Thank you for the kind words, however they're not needed.
I simply found the man, scanned him down to confirm his location and created a diversion for pilots in the area to shoot at so that he could be extracted.
The man who brought him home safely was Mr Hakatain, you should be offering your thanks to him.
I'm eagerly awaiting an update on his medical status.

I beg to differ - the man who really deserves praise is Engineer First Class Kaito Suun, one of the three crew on my Merlin during the rescue op.
Crewman Suun's bravery and tenacity deserve special merit. He went EVA to attach a tow cable and data interface to Jude's pod during the recover operation, then speed-welded the chassis of the capsule to my hull while under encroaching threat of hostile pilots probing us down.
Despite the appearance of an unfriendly Drake on the grid, Mr. Suun completed the welding job, and told me to warp out, knowing full well the immense risk of being pitched overboard and killed.
Somehow, he was able to secure himself to the underbelly of my ship during the warp, and haul himself through the ventral airlock before I was forced to jump through the Stargate into the Promised Land system.
Finally, while we were at rest in a secure part of Promised Land, Mr Suun (despite suffering the effects of severe cynosis) volunteered to immediately go EVA again to more securely fix Jude's capsule to the hull.
I'd like to quote his response when I offered to reward him:
"Sir, so long as you can give me some proof that I just did all that, then we're good."
I figure with that story under his belt and some solid evidence to back it up, he won't be lacking for free drinks and companionship for a long, long time. I threw in five million ISK for good measure, though, and politely suggested that after using up that much good luck, now would be a good time to retire.
I'll be interested to hear his decision once he finally recovers from the massive hangover I paid for last night.
In any case, Jude Kopenhagen is currently in the care of the fine men and women of Her Divine Majesty's Ministry of War medical team. I'm a little out of the loop, I'm afraid, but I understand his prognosis to be positive. -

La la la... checking messages after a nice planetside vacation. (And before you ask, no it is not vacation if you bring your comms)
Message #38: Jude is OK and now recovering Uh, what... did something happen to Jude?
Message #27: Verone found him at New Eden! I see, so he was lost.
Message #23: SOE have picked up the wreckage Uh-oh...
Message #15: "Quin, are you there? Got a message, Jude is missing and we have to find him..." Yes I am here NOW and FREAKING OUT already. What is this about wreckage? Lost? Recovering?
Can anyone please explain what happened?
Oh.. at least he is back to civilization now and getting well. He is going to be well, is he not?
I just wish I could have been there to help...
Cheers, Q

One of the Legio handed in the latest reports from Jude's status as the pod pilot was rising through the station in a tube rail. The transcripts of the texts, as well as the CONCORD information on the latest known whereabouts of Jude were in his hands. But a little too late.
Verone had already confirmed on Galnet the recovery of Jude's pod and his wellbeing. It didn't matter, what counted was that the other pilot was safe now, and in the care of propper medics. Sepherim gave a quick order to send some feelers out to know the exact details of his recovery, and see if the Ordo could improve the situation in ay way.

Jude woke up slowly, the haze of the coma being replaced by numbness. No, not numb, dead, he realized. The right side of his torso had no feeling, his leg felt oddly cold. He tried lifting his arm in order to remove whatever it was that impaired his vision, but the arm did not respond.
Using his left he felt towards his face, fingers only finding a hollow where his right eye had been. Adrenaline suddenly entered his system, his attempt to push himself upright being restrained by someone, or was it several people? Despite his pounding head he recognized the Amarrian being spoken.
