hello whiners/flamers/trollers heres my proposal
some people think that titans need a fix as the ability to wipe out a bs fleet is somehow overpowered (these people make 20mil an hour isk in utterley safe space so they obivousely know what they talk about when they say overpowered)
anyway heres the fix
give the titan an option of fitting a siege module instead of a ddd and give it 6 turret slots. Youve then basically got what a mothership is to a carrier but in a dread form. So you have a choice between nuking a fleet or nuking caps.

no, titans should be something you can dock with. When you die you should be able to pop up inside and and get another ship.
fast, effective re-deployment.
oh and titans should not be fitting dread weapons IMO. A new class of weapons should be made that fends off up close batleshipsized ships. I was thinking weapon clusters, so 1 module that acts as 5 medium sized weapons. Fires as one, but looks like and has the power of 5.
keep this range to at tops long range type 40-60 km base.
Then allow for titans to use boosters that effect the whole fleet for a period of time.
Couple this with maybe some changes in the future to give ships commands maybe and the titan would be awesome. I don't understand why ship bonuses always have to be passive you know?

Edited by: Bumbum George on 25/12/2008 22:08:07 While you're at it please make them insurable or even better automatically replace titans when they pop cause they're kinda expensive you know. As it is titans are way underpowered, automatically replacing them would be a right step in fixing that
Oh and pleeeease consider letting titans enter high sec, I'd love to dd those nasty mission rats, would save me a lotta time, thanks.

it would be interesting also if titans had close to 0 movement speed and couldn't warp. Then a hp buff and my idea of basicly being able to fit 40 medium guns on it would be seen as justified.

Double their jump range so that alliances actually use them in combat more than for the e-peenery.
Titans can already fit six or seven dreadnaught-size weapons, but even if you could fit a Siege module on one it would just be an extremely expensive, oversized dreadnaught with twice the firepower of a regular dreadnaught. Even if you gave Titans a 100% bonus to damage of siege turrets on top of the siege mode bonuses, they still wouldn't be worth it, because you can fit an entire cap fleet for the cost of a Titan with far more dps and POS-poppin' power, having much more cumulative HP and not being such a huge effing target that makes for a nice km, and if you gave them more than 100%, they'd be overpowered.
There is a space for a super-dreadnaught, but it's not the Titan. It works well as a supreme logistics machine, e-peen, supercap fleet flagship, clone bay and doomsday device. IMHO it would be a new class entirely, being mothership-sized with six turrets/launchers and a better damage bonus, is not able to dock and some kind of unique module to separate it from normal dreads.

Somebody with say, 3-4 million skillpoints in trade could rake in 400-1bil profit in a matter of days without ever leaving station. Just knowing this puts mission running income (which I assume you are talking about) in perspective.
As for Titans, you could field 3 Dreads to do that at a fraction of the cost. While nice, no Titan pilot should trade the doomsday for a couple dreads worth of DPS.

This. I always thought about this when motherships came out, but it din't was so. I thought about it again with the titans, but... we know how those things are used.
That's kinda lame tbh.

You can't dock one player controlled item inside another player controlled item. It's a limitation in the way the game is coded.
