First off, kinetic thermal harderners suggest you're not facing blood/sansha. That normally indicates you're doing something wrong - why are you not in deep amarrspace?
Furthermore, you are using only seven guns, yet it's not an armageddon. Why?
If fitting is to tight, alter the type of guns, alter your tank - do not just skip a gun. Do you have the very basic fitting skills? IE Engineering V, AWU IV?
Yes, you will most likely be able to do all missions with somewhat ease - however they will be horribly horribly slow. If you're tight on skills I would suggest you look into the Apoc instead which is slightly more forgiving.
Parrots, commence!

Edited by: Badgerous One on 29/12/2008 01:51:50 I'd make a couple of suggestions for your 'baddon, don't worry i'm not going to start screaming that its fit is a) all wrong b) needs millions spent c) needs T2 stuff.
What i would suggest is making sure you get the best T1 named reppers and hardners you can, namely the vestment reppers and the N type Hardners. Technically Faction stuff is better, but if money is an issue these two are the best of the rest so to speak.
Since i run a VERY similiar ship for my level 4's which is (just) cap stable I'm unsure if this is. You may have better capacitor skills than me i dunno... but seriously test the cap on your BS to see if it pops with everything running.
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS fit the correct hardners for the missions you are running. Don't just use the same thermal/Kin tank for every mission unless you want the Baddon to go pop. <<< Ignore this.. you sniped me
As for your empty top slot... maybe an assault launcher with defender missiles? Or a Drone Link? Or maybe a tractor beam? Sure another big gun is fun.. but i know on mine an 8th gun pops her cap.

As you probably noticed, I don't agree that you need all tech 2 equipment for a missionbattleship. The remark about harderners was simply that you could make it easier and make a better bang for your buck by running missions in another location.
Fact is from where you are now, a few weeks training in an alternate race will provide you with a ship that may very well be more potent for serpentis/gurista missions. Amarr missionships are not bad, just narrow. You will rock versus blood sansha and be mediocre at everything else.
If you can't fit 8 mega pulses, go with 8 dual heavy beams and a heatsink instead of the rcu. You will get better dps, more tracking, better control and a cheaper price.
If your cap is tight, go with an injector instead. A few cap booster 800's and your cap is more than stable.
I'm presuming you bring light drones even if they were not mentioned in your fitting. Parrots, commence!

A Apoc might be beter for you. Apoc is more cap stable making it easier for lower sp players to tank it. If you do want to use an abaddon, get t2 tank asap, helps it a lot, and run a single rep tank.

.
this
if you want to use the abbabon, drop 1 lar, fit the extra gun and maybe at a med rep
you really shouldn't need to 2 lar's running for most level 4 if you are fitting the correct hards

You wont need the medium rep. The abaddon has realy high resist with its bonuse, and you can alwyas use a rep ammount rig to give it a little extra tank.

You could also bring along a friend to remote tank for you. Get the friend to pack 3 x remote armour reppers, a tracking link (or two), a remote sensor booster, and perhaps a webifier, whatever tickles your fancy. This means you can drop one or both of the reppers to fit a heat sink and armour plate, drop the tracking computer to fit a target painter, and perhaps a small or medium energy transfer in that 8th high slot to keep your remote repper topped up on capacitor.
Sitting outside a station, get your friend to activate one large remote repper on your boat. If they can't keep that going, cap stable at about 45%, consider fitting a small/medium remote energy transfer in that 8th high slot of yours. The extra cap will be needed for burst repping.
T1 armour repping in an Exequror means the friend can also pack drones - five small combat drones along with a couple of medium armour maintenance bots and you should be set. Friend focusses on killing tackler frigates - your small drones assisting - then when they're dead, kill the biggest enemy ships first (unless they're triggers).
Make sure both of you read the EVE-Survival Mission Reports, and pay careful attention to keep guns and drones away from ships marked as being triggers.
Once you know how triggers and timed reinforcements work, you'll be able to coordinate so that the friend can warp out to avoid aggro, then warp back in again before you are in danger of losing your ship.
Both of you will need to focus on capacitor skills as a priority though. If you run out of cap to keep your guns running, or he runs out of cap keeping the remote repper(s) going, you're going to end up losing a ship or two.
Taking a friend along will be worth it just for the extra DPS you can dish out. Eventually your skills will be good enough that you can both fly battleships and just gank your way through level 4 missions. Then your skills will keep improving and you'll both be able to fly solo.
Playing with a friend is more fun though!

If you can't use 8 Megabeam switch to 8 Dual Heavy Beams. They requier much less power to fire too and have slightly better tracking.
You should REALY get T2 repair befor you start level 4th. They are soooo much better (and not long to train). Grid is no problem if you switch from Megas to Dual Heavys.
Replace the Local Power Plant with an Damage Control. Your tanks becomes slightly better but your Hull (if "Oh ****" happens will thank you ;).
With only 1 repper active you should still be able to fire for some minutes, better: be cap-stable with one repper perma-on! I know, it's not necessary for most missions if you know them out of dream ... but if you start level 4th it saves your live more often then you will hope ;).

While the mids and lows should be T2, best named turrets work well for PvE.
As an example, best named megabeams with fit on a single LAR setup and t2 beams won't w/o fititng mods/implants. Also, they use less cap as well (and without the 50% cap use bonus, this becomes VERY important).

That person had no idea what he was talking about.
You do not have to wait to fly a ship untill your skills are maxed for it.
also, Battleship V is much more important than the longer t2 skillpath.
