I'm pretty sure I understand this right - just want to double-check with those of you who frequent this board first.
Implants (implant slots) go into the head of the capsuleer, correct? Not the pod? Basically, I'm wondering if the attribute bonuses would effect capsuleers when outside their pod (e.g., you wouldn't suddenly "lose" the power of your memory or intelligence outside of your pod, would you?)
As always, any clarification is much appreciated.

I think implants go in your head, but the hardwires go into the capsule. -

If we were to judge based on the way the market icons look then I agree with Stitcher.

So are the market icons an accurate decription of what a person looks like post-implant? For instance, if you have an ocular implant, does that mean your sporting the cyborg look (one-eye robotic)?
I have a feeling this may be explained in chronicles and fiction, but I couldn't remember.

I think pilot implants are little more complicated and specialised then those for non-capsuleers and also a lot more expensive.
A cybernetic eye would be of no use for a pod pilot, because the ship he is connetected to, is his eye and he sees everything with the ships sensors.
Capsuleer Perception Implants would enhance the ability to process the information that is given to him by his senses, or by the ship, while he is inserted in a pod.
Likewise a Non-Capsuleer Memory Implant, might be a Database that is connected to his Brain or a Link to a planetary database network, while a capsuleer Memory Implant directly enhances the Brains ability memorize information.

Agreeing with Deviana here. The implants the capsuleers have by default make him able to be the master CPU for all the ship's systems. The other implants help him process information faster (learn faster) and hardwires enhance the way the capsuleer connects to the ship's systems. (Though the pirate implants are in this case an advanced type of implant that can simulate some things the hardwires do within the capsuleer's brain.)
That said, it's possible that there are other kinds of implants, too, like a bionic eye. We don't have them ingame, though, since they're mostly of no use to a person locked into an egg full of goo.
