I've tried google but can't find what I'm looking for. Are there any lists or databases showing the type and % drop of loot for each mission or NPC ship that you destroy? I know sites like http://wow.allakhazam.com/ have drop databases for WoW. Is there a similar service for Eve?

In math the equation would look like this.
EVE = - ( WOW )

What's wrong with WoW?
It's a pve game that promotes long endless grinds.

Okay, I'm not really concerned about WoW. So I assume that there are no drop lists atm?

No, there are no drop list sites. There really isn't a need.
Unlike wow, items arent bound to a character. Also there is no point to 'grinding' certain NPC's for an item that only a certain type drops. Loot drops are random in quality, and (generally) sized to the ship you kill.
What I'm trying to say is that if you want a particular item in Eve you buy it off the market instead of grinding furbolgs for eighteen days.

They arent useful is why they dont exist.
And comparisons of anything EVE with anything WOW are frowned up on because the games "objective" are rather opposed.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

Of course there's no grinding here. You have contracts instead - so someone else goes to 0.0 and grinds, sorry, rats for hours to get Domination webbers, or True Sansha Power Diagnostic Systems or whatever. And of course, no one farms missions to get alloyed trit bars do they? And complexes? no, no one ever runs them again and again to get faction drops. That would never happen....
My, are the two opposites in fact, more akin than some people like to admit?
I'm not saying I'd rather play WoW than EVE. However, people need to get over themselves and realise that the fundamentals of pretty much every MMO are damn near identical - kill NPCs, get stuff, earn [currency], buy more stuff, spend more time paying my subscription... EVE has many things that make it different from the others, but this area is not one of them.

Apart from end game for some people is to avoid the npc aspect of the game entirely, instead focusing on pure pvp either via market play or big guns.
Oh and to the NP,
Look at the type of rat you are shooting and also the area they are found in. For example, Angels drops speed mods and projectile weapons. There are some glitches in the loot table but as a whole npc's drop items that are relevant to the ships they fly.

In the (unlikely) event someone does create a loot-drop list for...any part of EvE, CCP will either:
A: Ban the responsible party. B: Change the loot-drop list to render it obsolete.
My money is on B followed by A. |

There is no loot drop chart or list.
All rat hum-drum T1 loots are generated randomly via some sort of server side table CCP has setup.
0.0 rats will give similar loots plus you get "drops" of rare items. I'm not sure if the BPO's and such are associated with any type of rat. The "True Sansha" and other "named" faction drops are associated with the rat of the same name i.e. "True Sansha Deadly Killer"*.
There is some extremely slight chance of getting a named faction drop in empire but far more likely in 0.0. I think the odds increase increase in mathematical formulated fashion based on actual security level of the system the rat spawns in. So it is like 1,000,000 to 1 in 1.0 system etc...
* (Someone will correct me if needed I'm sure) but I think there are some few named rats such as "Joe Blow Killer" that are also known to drop a "named" but not faction associated item.
This is my only comment on WoW. Seems to me that was an argument starting flame aimed as a personal attack that didn't belong in this topic. |

There was a loot drop list, I remember back 2003 it was on eve-i site. I believed they changed it to random loot from a faction pool, if you search the dev blogs and patch notes you'll find a very detailed answer.

With all the other info sites about this game, why would someone get banned for making a list of what drops they got from certain NPCs?

Server-side information, not to be disclosed to the public?
A better answer would be that the info could be used to abuse the game in a way that goes beyond what we've seen before in EvE.
I'm not talking about a list of the possible modules you may get, I'm talking about an extensive spreadsheet that details the various loot tables, along with propability figures of module x appearing in a wreck. |
