Is there a working prototype?
Or atleast a company with a respectable address working on this?

Nanotechnology is a promising field - but the real scientists working on it are in much simpler and much more realistic applications.
This type of thing would theoretically be possible at the absolute other end of the spectrum from the current research - but in the same way knowing mass=energy equates to being able to make a cheeseburger out of pure electricity. ----------------

Two words to describe this and go well together come from the first paragraph of two of the OPs links.
Hypothetical Dreams
Nanotechnology on the scale the OP is dreaming of is a long way off and will never become reality in our lifetime and I'd imagine not even the lifetime of our grandchildren either.

Do want.
also keep in mind that E=MC^2, so a 100 gram cheeseburger would cost a LOT of energy. Not to mention all the additional energy needed to direct the converted matter into usable atoms and molecules and then put them together all in the right spot to actually form said cheeseburger.

It really depends on what they are programmed to do. They could in theory be programmed to repair the body, identify and destroy cancerous tissue and other things that could actually be beneficial.
It is generally recognised that age is a deterioration of the DNA strand that you were initially born with. If they could be programmed to repair the DNA strands to the level of what they were when they entered the body, technically it would open the door to immortality but truthfully, would you actually want to live forever? My guess is that maybe two or three hundred years and you'd get really bored with life.
